Caleb:A child is the key.
Kingston:I thought we were done with this ‘children as harbingers’ nonsense after we dealt with War.
Asher snatches the paper from Caleb’s hand.

Asher:Give me that.
Asher stares down at the translation, brow furrowing and lips moving as he talks softly beneath his breath.
Asher: (mutters)A child. There are three already on the way. Fuck. Is it one of them?
Kai:Four.
Asher looks at Kai.
Asher:Four?
Kai:Dahlia’s pregnant. We only just found out.
Kingston:Bingo!
Caleb:What the hell are you on about now?
Kingston:Well, that’s three for three on the women of the Mate Games getting knocked up. Feels like we should get a prize.
Caleb:That’s it. You aren’t allowed to spend any more time with Remi. You’re starting to sound too much like him.
Asher:Three for three? This can’t be a coincidence.
Ben:I-it certainly d-doesn’t s-sound good.
Kai:I don’t care who he is. That bastard isn’t laying a finger on my child.
Ben:M-mine either.
Kingston:Agreed. Obviously. The stakes just got even higher in my world. We need extra protection on our women. No one gets close. Not without our approval.
Asher remains quiet, gazing off into the distance.
Asher:What if it’s not one of ours?
Kingston:One of our what?
Asher:Children.
Caleb:You think there’s another one?
Asher shrugs, still looking thoughtful.

Asher:We’ve already said that there’s another group out there that needs to be found. What’s the over/under that it’s their baby?
Caleb:I don’t like it, but you’re not wrong. There’s no way we can control that if we don’t find them.
Kai stands, eyes glowing purple, expression fierce.
