“Bear, what the hell am I going to do with you?”
“You can stroke my dick like you were doing earlier.”
“Oh my god, you’re gross. I like it though.”
“I know you do.” I tucked my bottom lip between my teeth and Cecily reached up to touch the bear paw charm but it wasn’t there and I watched her face fall into a frown.
“Fuck. I miss my necklace.”
“I know. You’ll be wearing it by tomorrow night. Now, go upstairs and wait for me in our room. Don’t come out. I don’t want Dad knowing you’re staying the night here.”
“I can stay with Kareema or my parents if you want.”
“No. I want you in bed beside me where you belong. I just don’t want him knowing you’re here overnight because I’m not ready to kill him yet.”
Cecily’s pretty eyes roamed over my face then she rubbed her legs a little while pulling in a deep breath. “I swear, sometimes when you talk like that you drive me insane.” I knew if she kept rubbing her thighs like that I was going to end up putting my face between them so I had to focus elsewhere.
“Go upstairs, Cecily,” I growled.
“Yes, Bear,” she purred in response. She knew what that tone did to me. She put a little extra sway in her hips as she walked by me too.
She hadn’t been upstairs for long before the doorbell rang. I looked at the camera and rubbed a hand over my face. I was expecting my father but he’d never ring his own doorbell. Instead, I saw Kareema waiting on the porch.
“What’s up?” I said once I opened the door.
“Hey, Bear. Is Cecily still here? I didn’t see her car out front.”
“She’s upstairs. I’m locking her away for the night. You mind staying in the guest house?”
“I guess.” She tapped her finger against her cheek and stepped inside.
“My father came home early.”
“I’m shocked but it seems like something he’d do.” She shrugged.
“Exactly. I want you in the guesthouse away from him. He’s looking for something to stick his dick in and it’s not going to be you or Cecily.:
“Gosh, Bear. I never knew you cared so much.”
“I’m a stand-up guy. What can I say?” I ushered her toward the backdoor and cut on the light so she could see. “I’m going to tell my father Cecily is out there with you for the night.”
“Ugh. No fair. Y’all get to stay in here fucking and hanging from chandeliers and shit while I’m out there Facetiming Tito, telling him how much I miss him.”
“Jesus. Are y’all dating?”
“We’re talking right now. I’m scared to go on a date with him but we talk on the phone and Facetime every day.” She was blushing. She looked beautiful but I didn’t know if I liked it.
“Remember what I told you,” I grumbled before opening the door.
“I know. Be careful.” She smiled at me and walked outside. “Tell Cecily to call me.” I walked with her to the guesthouse because I was on high alert. I ignored the fact that she looked at me like I was crazy and opened the guesthouse door for her. I did a quick walkthrough of the house and once I realized nobody was hiding in there, I left her alone.
When I got back to the main house, I went upstairs to Cecily and found her sitting on the bed, flipping through Netflix and wearing one of my shirts.
God, she was stunning.
“Did I hear the doorbell?”
“Kareema’s here. I sent her to the guesthouse. If my father asks, that’s where you are.”
