“I’m going to make you come so hard inside my pussy.” With a growl, he gripped my face and pulled me down for a kiss. It was so possessive. Meanwhile, his dick did a devilishly slow grind from below that made stars rain from the fucking ceiling.
Our bodies jolted in unison and I whimpered from the intense pressure. Bear bit down on my bottom lip right before he exploded inside of me. The pain made the pleasure ten times more intense. Some kind of impressive opera noises came from my mouth as a result.
Only Bear could pull those kinds of sounds from me.
When I looked down at him, I saw a smear of my blood on his lips. I couldn’t help fusing to his mouth in a needy kiss while his dick pulsed inside of me. The sharp flavor blossomed on my tongue and pushed a thrill through me. It was dark and I liked it.
I realized my mind had wandered off to how amazing the sex between Bear and I would be after his father was dead. After he’d removed such a huge toxic block from his life. It would be full of emotions and pain and pleasure. I almost came on myself at the thought. I pushed out a breath and slipped my fingers through his thick locs.
“You ready for tonight?” I asked.
“Yeah. Especially after that shit.” He slapped my ass and cracked a beautiful smile. I’d never seen anything so breathtaking.
He sat up and swung his feet around to the side of the bed. I watched him grab his gun from the nightstand and my eyes got wide. “Should I have one?” I asked him.
“Nah, you don’t need one. You belong to me therefore you have an entire army of motherfuckers willing to lay down their lives for you. Understand?”
“I hear you, Bear.” I rubbed his strong back and let my fingers play down his spine. His flawless skin was slick with sweat from the way we came together in more ways than one.
“We’re going to hop in the shower and get ready to get this fucking day over with.” He stood to his feet and walked in the bathroom. Something about the way his shoulders swayed to their own deep baseline made my body pulse to an invisible beat.
“We?” I quizzed with a smirk.
“You heard me, baby doll,” he called from the bathroom. I giggled to myself then ran my tongue over my bottom lip, feeling the soreness left behind from Bear’s teeth. I rubbed my stomach and imagined how it would look full and swollen with his baby.
Not right now, Cecily. Get your degree then focus on babies.
I banished the delicious thought and got in the shower with Bear. “I think I still want to do the night-time childcare facility with Kareema,” I said, letting the water soak my hair. Ringlets of soft black strands transformed my flat-ironed hair into a mass of curls again.
Bear ran his hand over my head then curled his fingers around the back of my neck, pressing my forehead to his. “Cecily, you can do whatever you put your fucking mind to. Your only obstacle is yourself. Once you break through that fear, you’ll be unstoppable.” The way his eyes burned bright when he spoke to me lit a fire in my belly that made me feel like I could take on the world as long as he was beside me.
Iwouldtake on the world.
Bear did it every day and he was about to do one of the scariest things he’d ever done but there wasn’t an ounce of fear to be found in him. I was going to take a page from his book and completely ignore my fears.
In the span of six hours, Mom and Lane transformed the Stone house into party central. Only, it wasn’t the kind of party you’d expect for someone coming back home from a long trip. No, this party was decked out with top-shelf liquor and rooms where piles of drugs resided in glass bowls like they were pieces of candy in dishes.
Mom never batted an eye at the amount of alcohol and cocaine that flooded through the doors. She pretended to look the other way while Griffon and Bear took inventory. All those years of looking the other way had seriously taken a toll on her.
While I listened to Bear and his father talk about all the bitches that would come to the party, I kept a close ear and eye on my mother. I noticed her staring at a spot on the wall. It was a totally bare spot that held nothing of importance, but she stared at that spot like it was spinning the most fascinating tales.
Kareema and Ace were nearby and I shot looks at both of them before tossing my gaze toward Mom, trying to signal to them that something was off.
“Yo, Cecily, I need to talk to you. Privately,” Ace said, finally catching my signal. I grinned like I was absolutely clueless and followed him out of the study giggling while his hand slid lower and lower on my back. I felt Griffon’s eyes stuck to me until I stepped into the hall with Ace.
“Miss Luanne, can you show me how to make the perfect martini? I’m a little rusty,” I heard Kareema say in the study.
Good. She was trying to move my mother out of the room. We’d planned to move her around whenever she seemed to be getting fuzzy. Lane had her way of getting mom out of the room, Kareema had hers and I had mine. We’d rotate all night if need be. We couldn’t risk Griffon noticing anything about her being off.
“Cecily, you know I’m not going to show you how to make a drink. You’re too young…”
My breath stuttered when I heard Mom’s slip up. Ace looked at me and shook his head ever so slightly. I knew he was telling me not to rush in there and over-react. He was telling me to hold still and see what Kareema did with it. I listened with my ears on fire.
“Damn, have I been coming around that long, Miss Luanne? You know I’m cuter than Cecily, right? How many times are we going to play these games?” Kareema laughed then it was silent for a split second. My stomach turned into knots.
“Lord, Kareema, what am I going to do with you?” Mom chuckled then I heard them moving toward the hall. I pushed out a relieved breath and hooked my arm with Mom’s taking her into the kitchen where Lane was putting the finishing touches on huge bowls of liquor-spiked punch.
“Was I zoning out again?” Mom asked me quietly once we were far away from the study. I knew Griffon was probing Bear about Mom’s health. I could feel it.
