“Well, shit, did you enjoy the ride?”

“Oh, I definitely enjoyed the ride.”

“Fuck…” I looked at my phone and realized I had to get home. I locked my bedroom door so my mother couldn’t get in but it didn’t stop her from harassing me before she left for work.

“Ezra, you’ve gotta get the fuck out of that house. Even though I talk about our age difference, you’re still an adult.”

“You know why I’m still there,” I said looking for my clothes.

“Tomorrow, you’re working overtime because we’re redoing all the inventory and bringing in new items to sell.”

“You didn’t tell me about that,” I lowered my brows and looked at her after I pulled my shirt over my head.

“Well, I’m telling you now. Come to the studio early.” She stood on her toes and kissed my lips. I couldn’t really debate with her after that.

She knew it too.

SOLANA

“I think we should make weekend mimosas a thing. So open the door,” Amaris’ voice was welcome on the other side of the phone but when she said open the door my eyes got big as saucers. I looked over at Ezra and slapped his chest. His hard, muscular chest.

“Okay. Sure. Give me a second.” I ended the call and pinched the bridge of my nose. “She’s going to know immediately.”

“She is.” He tipped his head to the side and ran his finger along my neck. “Especially since I left marks all over you. Damn.”

“Oh my god,” I rushed to the mirror and checked. Sure enough, deep purple bruises littered my neck. My body remembered every single one and thrummed with pleasure.

I threw on an oversized sweatshirt and rushed downstairs. Ezra followed behind me and tried his best not to look like he fucked me until my bed broke.

I steadied my breathing before I opened the door for my sister. I didn’t know what was going to fly out of her mouth but I was prepared to defend my choices tooth and nail.

“Good morning, Amaris,” I smiled. Her brown eyes immediately went to Ezra standing behind me.

“Good morning SolanaandEzra.” Next, her curious gaze traveled down my body taking in my sweatshirt.

“What’s up, Amaris?” The silence was so awkward and clunky. It swallowed the entire space. I heard a clock ticking and I didn’t have a fucking clock. “So, I’m gonna head home now. I’ll see you later, Solo.” He reached down and hugged me tightly. After the night we had together I couldn’t let him go without feeling his lips on mine.

He wrote his name all over my body and I didn’t give a flying fuck how hard my big sister would judge me. I pressed a quick peck to his lips and he tightened his arm around my waist. He flashed Amaris a sheepish grin then waved at her before dashing across the street.

Amaris shoved me backward and threw hit after hit at my arm. “You fucked him! Oh my god! Solana Willow Monroe!” I hit her back and dove on the couch covering my face and pulling my knees to my chest.

“Leave me alone!” I was seconds away from calling for my mother but I remembered we were grown and not living at home anymore.

“You did, didn’t you?”

“Why do you care? You knew it was going to happen.”

“I thought it would take longer than a month, Solana!”

“The heart wants what it wants. There’s a reason the universe put him in my path. I’m tired of ignoring it.”

“Girl this has nothing to do with your heart. You’re thinking with what’s between your legs because that little boy is fine as fuck and built like a redwood.”

“You’re the one thinking with what’s between your legs, Amaris. Stop that shit by the way.” I pointed at her and rolled my eyes.

“I’m not trying to take your teenager. I have eyes though.”
