“That’s not where we’re going.”

“It isn’t? When Evan mentioned France, I assumed that’s what he meant.”

“Didn’t I tell you that we’re not a boring couple? Don’t assume.”

“Then where are we going?”

“It’s a surprise. You’ll find out soon enough. In the meantime, let’s enjoy the cupcakes.”

He knows how to spoil me.

EPILOGUE

SEAN

An hour before landing, Kimberly knocks on the bedroom door to let us know that it’s time to return to the main cabin for touchdown.

We’ve only been seated a few minutes when the captain announces, “Welcome to Saint-Tropez. Your transportation will be ready when you deplane.”

“We’re in Saint-Tropez?”

“We will be in a few minutes.”

The advantages of flying private and royal are innumerable. Passport control and customs take mere minutes.

A man approaches, saying, “Mr. and Mrs. Cartwright, I’ll take you to your helicopter.”

“Helicopter?” Lowri asks.

“It’s the easiest way to get to our destination.”

“Does it belong to Evan’s family too?”

“No. He knew what I had in mind and arranged it for us.”

In the air again, we put on headphones with microphones that allow us to communicate with each other as we skim hills and dip into valleys on our way to the beach.

“Are those vineyards?” Lowri asks.

“Yes. There are a number of small wineries around here.”

“Where are we going to land?”

“You’ll see. It’s part of the surprise.”

The beach comes into view, and the pilot guides the small helicopter over the clear turquoise water.

“Is there an island nearby?”

“You might call it that. It’s a floating island of sorts,” I say, pointing at the mega yacht outside the window.

“Are we going on a cruise for our honeymoon?”

“Yes.”

“How many people does the ship hold?”

“I don’t remember the exact number, but we’ll have it to ourselves except for the captain and crew.”
