She swallowed hard just as Bailey turned to her. “What about you?”

Ronnie arched a brow. “What about me?”

Bailey grinned. “Oh come on. You’re an athlete, not a nun. Don’t tell meyounever dated either.”

“I’m always on the road or training…” Ronnie shrugged.

“So you’re not interested in romance?” Bailey sounded as unconvinced as Ronnie felt.

“Not really.” Guilt was nipping at her because Dallas’s face was now etched firmly in her mind’s eye.

She had been entirely content not dating—until very recently. And now? Was she honestly thinking of dating Dallas King? Bailey’s twin? A guy she’d known her whole life?

When she’d asked him to come along to the ski lodge, was that…a date?

Would he consider that a date?

Did she?

Ronnie was suddenly way too hot in this crowded little room, and she could have sworn the volume on the speakers suddenly got a whole lot louder.

She itched to leave, but she couldn’t bail this early on at her own sister’s bachelorette party. Especially considering she was technically the host, since she was paying for it all.

Bailey sighed. “I’m gonna go make sure Willow’s drinking enough water.”

Ronnie laughed and nodded. But that guilt was back in full force as she watched her friend walk away. Should she have told Bailey about tomorrow’s snowboarding plans?

Maybe. Maybe not. It wasn’t like anything had really happened between them. She and Dallas had just been hanging out. As friends.

Friends who wanted to kiss each other.

She shifted from one foot to the other as she watched her sister throw her head back with laughter.

They might have almost kissed, but at the end of the day…they hadn’t.

And if some small part of her wished that maybe they had? If part of her was dying to know what it would have felt like if she hadn’t bolted and he’d pressed his lips to hers?

Well.

She crossed her arms over her chest and heaved a big sigh.

That was a secret she didn’t have to share.

Chapter Thirty

Willow was having the time of her life!

“Drink water,” Bailey said.

Again.

As if she was a child who needed reminding to stay hydrated. Willow sighed but flashed her sister a brilliant smile as she took the water bottle from her. “I love you, sis!”

Bailey’s smile was all tolerant amusement.

Giselle laughed. “I love a tipsy Willow.” She turned to Bailey. “You know, some lightweights get emotional or start fights. But this one…” She hooked a thumb in Willow’s direction. “All sunshine and light.”

Willow beamed. “See? I’m a good drunk!”
