Was he perfect, no, but he was on his way back to who he once was.

The crotch goblin was crotch goblin-ing.

There was no place like at home with his family.

Or in this case,Puerto Ricowith his man.

Meanwhile…

Together, Ethan and Gene watched Corbin and Will head to Will’s car.

Was it silly to make sure they got their safe?

Yes, but it was better safe than sorry.

Blackhawk turned, and he opened the passenger side door to get in. As he did, his man held it open for him.

“I have no doubt that he’s going to be fine,” Ethan admitted. “You’re an asshole for luring him back with working with us quickly. We were going to wait until he was ready.”

He grinned as he closed the door and headed around the Mustang.

“I know, but that was before we found out he was going to therapy today. That was my sign to do it. We’ll give him hope, and a chance to rebuild himself.”

That was true.

“Besides,” Gene said. “We both have brothers. How much did you bust his ass growing up?”

Blackhawk laughed.

“All the damn time. He was bigger than me, but I’m scrappy,” he joked. “I couldn’t help but bust his ass. That’s half the fun of having a brother.”

Gene was well aware.

Why?

Because he was about to have a shit ton of fun. Not only did they have a police liaison, but they had someone to do all of the damn paperwork.

That was the gift that kept on giving.

But on top of that, Corbin Price was going to learn how to take care of his damn self.

Oh, and he would, even if it was the last thing Gene got him to do.

Speaking of last things he’d be doing…

“So, you love me, right?” Gene asked, buckling in on the driver’s side.

Blackhawk glanced over.

“Um…yeah, I do. Why?” he asked. Now, for some reason, he was nervous. “What did you do?”

Because the windows were tinted, he ran his fingers down Ethan’s cheek, and stared into his eyes.

“I sold my soul to the Devil,” he said.

Ethan didn’t look away.

“Please tell me that I’m the Devil in question, and you’re talking about our relationship.”
