They finished dressing, and that was when Ethan moved into his body, and rested his head on his shoulder.

Now, he was stressed out.

“We should make a break for it,” he admitted, willing to give up the FBI to keep Gene alive. “We can move. We can head to the reservation to lay low…”

He stopped him.

Lifting his chin, he stared into his eyes.

Gene wasn’t a‘run away’kind of a guy.

“Even if we did that, Javier won’t give up. We have roots here now, and we have family. We’re here for the next three years, and we’ll make our stand here. Plus, I found out more things, and that’s kind of attached to the less bad news.”

Ethan touched his face and wasn’t thinking about anything but Javier Hughs making their life hell.

“Don’t die on me.”

Gene’s fear wasn’t about dying.

It was about leaving Ethan alone.

To reassure him, he found his mouth, and kissed him. Gene missed being around him all day, and he absolutely regretted their missed vacation.

While a bedroom floor quickie was nice, they could be naked and sandy right about now.

Oh, and drunk.

So, he reassured him with that soft, gentle mating of mouths so Ethan knew he wasn’t going anywhere.

Not until this was over.

Then, they were heading toPuerto Rico.

Bet.

On.

It.

Slowly, he broke the kiss.

“When we wrap this up, EJ, it’s you, me, that Pina Colada lube, andPuerto Rico. We’re going even if we have to take Corbin with us and lock him in a closet, so he doesn’t see us having sex.”

That made Ethan laugh.

And it calmed him down.

As they finished dressing, he took Ethan by the hand, and led him out of their room. Greyson would be showing up at any second.

In the hallway, Ethan stopped him. When Gene turned, he touched his lover’s cheek with his warm palm.

“Promise?” Ethan asked.

His man smiled.

“If you think I’m letting anything stop me from you and that Pina Colada lube, you’re insane. Screw it. I don’t give a shit if Corbin watches at this point. We’re going on that damn vacation.”

From not far away in the living room, they heard laughter.
