When they were both standing, he began sharing what had happened while he was out.

“It’s been an interesting day,” Gene said, as they gathered their things, and headed for the bathroom to get cleaned up.

Ethan followed, and he had to admit he was curious about the text still.

“What happened?” he asked. “I still need an explanation on the weird text.”

Yes, he did.

Gene took a washcloth and wet it with warm water. He cleaned off Ethan’s chest, and his neck too. He wasn’t going to shower since he liked the scent of his man all over his body.

And his cum in his ass.

“Unfortunately, we have a little problem or ten,” Gene said, as Ethan watched him in the mirror.

“Uh-oh.”

Yeah, Ethan didn’t like that at all.

Gene could see the stress across his features, and it was time to share what he knew.

Since he was more worried about Javier than this little voyage to the gray area of their job, he opted to give him that information first.

“Bad news and then we’ll get to that text,” he said as he led them into their closet.

When Gene handed Ethan some things, he started getting dressed.

Gene did the same.

Apparently, it was a black kind of a day, according to their clothing.

Yeah, something was going on.

“You’re twitchy,” he admitted, and that was making him feel the same. “This is going to suck.”

Oh, he had no idea.

Gene shared.

“Diesel met his demise in jail. Someone gave him a neck smiley face—ear-to-ear.”

He lifted a brow.

Then, it hit him as to why Gene was a massive knot of tension. It took a lot to do that to him right after sex.

“Oh, shit. That means…”

Gene nodded.

“That was exactly what that piece of shit Javier Hughes wanted. He’s asking for bail. Since his lawyer said that he couldn’t have possibly called the hit on the star witness for the prosecution while in lockup, he’s not a danger.”

Ethan was pissed.

“Uh, he is a danger. He had his goon shoot my man. That’s the definition of danger for me. He’ll try again.”

Gene was well aware.

“So, we’re back to the old duck and cover until Gabe can figure something out. He wants the man in prison since he thinks he’s bought himself a Director of the FBI.”
