“Back here! Now!” Leo called behind him. “Bring Rys!”

Leo pushed the door open to the nesting room that we’d attempted to decorate earlier, and a massive cramp radiated through my abdomen. I gasped and clutched my stomach, wincing as the pain and need coursed through me. “It hurts!” I whined, knowing the only thing that would fix it was an alpha’s knot.

Leo gently placed me on the massive bed, then knelt next to me, brushing the hair away from my face. “I’m right here, Cassie. I’m going to take care of you, so well. We all are. I promise you, we’re going to make it through this. Anything you need, just say the word.” His gentle words calmed the growing anxiety, and made me lean into the extreme arousal that was bursting from within. I grasped his forearm and by the way his pupils grew, I could tell the perfume bursting out of me was affecting him more every second. We probably had mere minutes before I fell into full blown heat, and he was being pulled in, his own desires growing to a point where they would soon be insurmountable.

“I want your knot.” I said, nuzzling into his arm as I heard the low purr of approval sound out in the room. His leather and bergamot scent filled up the air, and I barely heard the door open as I looked over to see Jace come in, skidding to a halt as his nose told him what was going on.

“Is that… it can’t be…” Jace stuttered as he scented my pheromone-laced perfume. He was in awe, but when he looked at me, his face turned gentle and almost reverent. He stepped forward, his posture seeming to grow as his alphas side begged him to take over, to claim me, to give me everything I needed. Through it all, I could tell he was holding himself back, trying tomaintain his wits until the hormones completely took over. Jace looked down at me.

“Omega, tell me what you need.”

Chapter 23

Rys

Almost as if it were a sixth sense kicking in, I felt it. Something wasn’t right. Instinctively, I quickened my pace and headed toward the suite, the omegas my only concern. I passed by several camera crew, but they barely mattered as I caught the tiniest hint of something in the air. I moved faster now, tearing down the hallways until I caught sight of Ash.

He was crumpled in a corner, tucked away and almost hidden, looking woozy and gripping his stomach. I saw his face look up at me with anguish when I smelled it.

His sweet plumscent, so beautiful and inviting, was now laced with something strong and irresistible. The scent awakened me, calling to my baser instincts. Within half a second, I realized what was going on. Ash now had to be protected at any cost.Beyond all reason and logic, the omega was going into heat. He looked up at me, his dark eyes pleading as he moaned.

“Rys….alpha…”

He was vulnerable now, and unable to defend himself. I sprinted toward him, my instincts taking over as I rushed to shield him from any other stray alphas who might catch his scent. I skidded to a halt, on my knees in an instant as I reached down to feel Ash’s forehead. He was burning up, his scent now coming out stronger, an intoxicating perfume that threatened to bring every alpha within a mile radius toward us if I didn’t get him somewhere safe.

“I’ve got you, omega.” I comforted him as I quickly cradled him in my arms, feeling his body go slack against me as I started running down the hall toward the only place I could think of - the nesting room. I felt Ash’s hands start wandering down my chest as I held him, and I could tell he was in the thick of the delirium of heat. He looked up at me, his face vulnerable, and quite frankly, adorable.

“Alpha…” He practically purred as he stroked my beard.

“It’s alright, omega. I’ve got you.” I replied, my teeth clenching as my body begged to react to his need. I might have incredible resolve, but I was still an alpha. It was just as difficult for me as any other alpha to resist an omega’s cries for relief. And I knew that I needed to get Ash somewhere safe soon, before this situation blew up.

My footsteps pounded down the hallway to our suite. I reached the door to the nesting room, flinging it open to rush Ash inside. Then I stopped, frozen as I took in the scene before me, the door swinging shut with a bang as everyone else in the room looked up. We had a bigger problem now.

As it turned out, Ash wasn’t the only one in heat.

Chapter 24

Jace

This was bad. Really, really bad.

Cassie should never have gone into heat. All omegas were on suppressants during the duration of the show, yet here we were, in a fake nesting room with Cassie getting dangerously hot and whining for relief. She made it clear she wanted us here with her, but we needed someone semi-coherent to alert the producers so this room would be secure from other alphas. If anyone else tried to get in, there would be a massive fight over her.

Then, as if the day hadn’t gone to hell enough, the door slammed open without warning. Instinct took over. A growl rose in my throat, raw and ready, and I shot upright, every nerve on fire, fully prepared to tear into whatever alpha thought they could just barge into Cassie’s nesting room uninvited. But it wasn’t arandom alpha - it was Rys, someone Cassie had asked for. Only it wasn’t just Rys.

He had Ash curled up in his arms, looking strangely small compared to Rys’s massive frame. Bringing another omega anywhere near a nest while an omega was in heat was a horrible idea. It would distress the omega, they would get territorial, and could even cause alphas to fight each other.

I stepped forward, glaring at Rys, unable to understand why he of all people would bring Ash in here. “Get him out of-” I started growling, until the scent hit me.

Sweet plum and sage, filling the air and blending so deliciously with Cassie’s sweet, honeyed citrus perfume. I softened, looking at Ash as he stared at me, his eyes delirious as he reached one arm out with a whine.

“It can’t be...” I said softly, but Rys looked back stunned.

“Is she… in heat too?” He asked incredulously.

“She’s in heat, and she was begging for you. She only wants us three alphas here.” Leo added. Suddenly looking down and seeing Ash, and from the looks of his body language, suddenly smelling him too. “Oh, shit.”

This was a situation on the brink of exploding. We had two omegas in need, and as soon as they both scented each other it would be chaos. They would go crazy with anxiety and territorial instinct, especially after the nesting chaos from earlier.
