I was beyond confused with her sentiments. I could not imagine being emotionally attached to anyone in this world. But I nodded in order to appease her, not wanting to question Aphrodite’s rationale, in fear that it would only lead to her wrath. “I understand, my love. I swear to you, I will only ever be physically attracted to others and nothing more than that.”
With Aphrodite’s blessing, I was able to be introduced to a multitude of gods and goddesses, as well as the most perfect of mortals that I made love to over the next year. I was shocked at how much these individuals worshipped my body. They even made proclamations and further advances towards me, begging me to spend my life with them. However, Aphrodite was not having any of that. She was vengeful to all who made such remarks to me and as a result, she inflicted severe punishments upon them.
Today, Aphrodite had other affairs to attend to with her husband, Hephaestus, thereby leaving me to myself for most of the day. The sun was as brilliant as ever, so I found the need to spend time on the white sands of the Aegean Sea. I gathered some fruits and wine and made my way down to the beach. Once my toes sunk into the balmy sand, a rush of euphoria coursed through my veins. The shores of Greece were my favorite places to visit. The view of the endless cyan waters and the constant wafts of balsam, florals, and the scent of pure sea salt relaxed me to no end. It was my own version of Mount Olympus. My own paradisiacal spot where I would often wish to stay when I wanted nothing but serenity to overcome me.
I removed my tunic and laid naked in the sand. Every surface of my body longed to be drenched by the rays of the sun. I shut my eyes and slowly dozed off to the tranquil sounds of the softly crashing ocean waves and the brisk sea breeze. After several minutes, the bright visual beneath my closed eyelids darkened from some sort of disturbance. I immediately opened my eyes and saw a figure standing before me.
Startled at first, I scooted back into the sand, moving myself further away from the man. But my awareness came more into focus and my worry subsided once I recognized the individual in front of me. That goldenrod hair that matched that of the blazing sun was one I often dreamed of. His physique was incomparable to any other man I had bedded. A smirk slowly crept up on my face. “Apollo,” I uttered, practically in a whisper.
“Ah. I see that you do, in fact, remember me,” Apollo replied with what seemed like a sense of relief. “I was afraid you wouldn’t.”
The fact that Apollo had gone out of his way to visit me here and now was admitting that he was elated to know that I remembered who he was led me to believe that he was already charmed by me. Why else would he be present here with those words coming out of his mouth?
So, I mustered up my best smile and put on my seductive appeal that I was growing accustomed to utilizing, just as I had learned from Aphrodite. “How could I ever forget someone like you? The most handsome of gods.”
Apollo scratched the back of his head in what seemed like nervousness. Was I making him uneasy? How could I make one of the most powerful gods tremble right before me? It was astonishing, but a reaction I was becoming extremely used to. I had acquired the attention of many gods and goddesses already, most of which became bashful when they were face-to-face with me. Here I was, making loud and all-powerful gods shy into timid buds, and Apollo was no different. His cheeks were now flushing, although I wondered if that was because of my presence or if that was a trait he often displayed because he was the God of the sun, in which his skin often flared like burning embers.
Nevertheless, I had a strong inclination that Apollo was here because he couldn’t bear to be absent from me for any longer. And truth be told, I found it difficult to put up my own resistance now that he had confronted me. He was smoldering. The mere sight of him already had my cock hardening.
“The thought is mutual,” Apollo replied. “I never forgot about you since that day I met you in the arena. I was not only impressed by your archery abilities, but your gorgeous features alone have also led you to being a recurring thought in my mind.”
My face beamed at this admission. I patted the spot on the sand beside me, wanting him to sit with me. He obliged.
“Is that so?” I asked, pretending to be as oblivious as possible to the notion. “I wish I would have known you felt that way sooner. Otherwise, I would have found a way for us to meet at a much earlier date.”
Apollo turned his head to me, now that he was sitting next to me. His amber locks gently blew with the sea breeze. He was a sight to behold, and I found myself nearly distracted from our conversation by his allure.
“I’m sorry I could not meet you sooner,” he stated. “I’m not sure if you heard, but I was forced to be in servitude for the past year, because of a transgression of mine.”
I nodded. “Yes. I am aware of what transpired. And I have to say, I am completely on your side with all that happened. I think you had every right to venture to Delphi to end that serpent’s life.”
Apollo grinned at my response. “I am pleased to hear you say that. Many others still find me at fault and have shown animosity towards me ever since.”
I stared ahead at the glimmering cerulean sea, watching the brilliance of the sun cast its sparkling reflection upon it, making the waters appear as if they were morphed into fine pieces of fluorite. This was truly quite the romantic scene before us. “I have no doubt they will come around for you. Your accolades speak for themselves. Surely, you will accomplish so much more greatness that people will have no other option but to respect you and recognize your deity.”
“You honestly believe that?” Apollo sounded so unsure of himself. It was shocking to hear this god have such a lack of confidence and self-esteem about him. At the same time, this humility he possessed made me drawn to him even more.
“Yes. I whole-heartedly believe it,” I answered.
Apollo’s gaze shifted from my eyes to below. At first, I assumed he was captivated by my cock and lower body, but then I was able to recognize he was studying the fruits and wine at my side. “Are those grapes?” he asked me.
I nodded and picked a single grape from the rachis and held it out to him. “They are. Would you like one?” I offered.
He shook his head, seeming bewildered by the idea that I had grapes with me. “No. I’m fine. But thank you for asking.”
I was beyond perplexed by his reaction to this. I dangled the grape seductively before bringing it to my mouth, drawing attention to my lush, scarlet lips. Opening them, I pressed the grape into my mouth and softly chewed on it before swallowing. Just as I anticipated, I watched Apollo out of the corner of my eyes, staring at me with admiration.
But why would he be so astonished that I had a bunch of grapes with me? Was there some symbolic meaning behind them that the Olympian gods knew about that I was not privy to? Were they a sign of disgrace or some omen? I had to know.
“Is something wrong with me consuming grapes?” I innocently questioned.
“No. Not at all. It’s… well, I saw you eating that grape just as you did. But I saw this vision hundreds of years ago,” he confessed.
“What? Are you certain?” My eyes widened with shock.
“Certain as ever. When my prophetic skills first came to me, one of the very first visions from the Fates was the sight of you laying here on the beach naked, beside me, eating a single grape.”
It was hard to imagine that Apollo foresaw my appearance hundreds of years prior to my existence. I had no clue what the meaning of it was, but now I wondered if my meeting with Apollo was a mark of destiny. Clearly, if it was a prophecy for him to encounter me on the beach here, then did that mean he and I were meant to be together? Were we to be in love? What did this mean for Aphrodite and me?
