I exhaled, smiling at my reflection in the mirror. My smile widened even more when I remembered how I managed to get another job. My hair was snatched back in a bun and my bold red lipstick gave me a professional edge.

I stepped out of the bathroom to go check in on the passengers. The plane was a little quiet, safe for the slight murmurings. I smiled warmly at each passenger that met my gaze until my eyes met his.

Brooding charcoal grey eyes that seized me hostage.

He had been reading a magazine but as though he sensed my presence, he looked up.

His dark hair was a little messy, but his facial features were strong and perfectly defined.

My throat bobbed slightly, heat tainting my cheeks as his eyes dragged over my frame with heat.

“Do you need something, sir?” I asked him, slightly flushed.

He shook his head and went back to reading. “No,”

His voice, deep, and husky struck me like a chord, almost as though I had heard it somewhere before.

I smiled politely, nodded and spun around, convinced that his eyes were still following me.

I was certain I knew that man. He was my literal blind date.

The End… for now…

Sniffling.

A gentle sniffle greeted me as I made my way down to the cellar. My heavy work boots clomped against the wood stairs, announcing my arrival. I didn’t mind. I wasn’t trying to surprise the little pup. Better she know her master’s on his way down to greet her.
