Ace didn't mess around this morning and quickly ushered my sore ass out of the house. Everything I endured with my father and Rocco, then the really fucking hot sex with Ace that I had last night; I’m a bit sore. But I still managed to be quick and now we are on our way to the air strip.
I've never been on a helicopter. Jets, planes, yes but a little helicopter, nope and what Ace has planned excites me, and I look forward to spending time with him alone, but how can we honestly relax? How can we just sit here and act like we both don't have bounties on our heads?
Last night, I learned Ace killed Luca's son and Luca wants his revenge. I just wish Ace told me, instead of my father telling me as he tried to choke me to death.
My eyes close, thinking about last night and the look in my father's eyes as his hands continued to strangle me. He's gone, he is not a man I know, or a man I want to live another day. I haven't told Ace about last night, and I will, when I'm ready to. He kept his secret about Luca's son, I will keep this one for now.
I feel Ace's hand grip mine, causing me to open my eyes and look over at him, meeting his gaze I smile. “What are you thinking about? He asks and I shake my head. “How much fun we are going to have.” Total fucking lie, but he has enough to think about, hedoesn't need my pain too. He reaches over and pulls me to his lap as I straddle him. He looks into my eyes with a seriousness to them. “Fun, we will have for a few days, but Baby Girl, I need you to do something-”
“Sir.” Ace looks over my shoulder, looking to the front of the car where Caz sits and my eyes roll in annoyance; every fucking time we try to talk we get interrupted. Ace looks back to me with a grin, and nerves flood my body before he says. “We're here.”
The car comes to a stop, right beside the helicopter and my breathing quickens. Ace opens the car door and gets out before he reaches his hand in for me to take. I place my hand in his large hand, before his fingers clasp around it and he pulls me up from the car. When my eyes land on the helicopter in front of us, I swallow hard and beads of sweat form on my forehead. I thought I would be able to swallow this fear down and get on that fucking thing but there is no way I am. I snap the words out of my mouth. “I can't get on that.” Ace looks down at me with a raised brow. “And why not?” “I'm scared to death of heights, Ace.”
He barks a laugh, a playful laugh I haven't heard from him yet, and he carries it with his voice when he says. “You drift around sharp turns on the mountain with straight drop offs, but you're scared of heights?”
“That's different, that helicopter has nothing underneath it, it's so fucking small.”
“Well, Baby Girl, there's no other choice so you can either get on by yourself like a big girl, or I'm putting your ass on there.” I cock a brow and tilt my head to the side. He bends over and wraps his arms around my legs before he throws me over his shoulder, a squeal slipping from my lips. He chuckles before his palm comes down across my ass, leaving a sting in its path, exciting the ache between my legs.
“You're really going to hate me when you find out how we are getting off.” He chuckles as I instantly squirm against his grip tightening with each squirm as I bark out. “Oh you're funny now! Ace, I am not jumping!”
He sets me in the helicopter quickly getting in before he shuts the door, totally ignoring what I just fucking said, but he carries a mischevious smirk, showing a side to him, I have yet to see; And I fucking love it!
He slides the headset over my head before he puts his on just as the engines start and the vibration flows beneath me causing my nervous anticipation to sky rocket. I hear the pilot talk through the headset saying we are ready to take off causing me to swallow hard and my knee to start jumping.
“Oh, hell no I'm not ready to take off!” I feel Ace's hand on my knee, as he presses down, calming my knee from bouncing all over the place with my nerves before those blues bore into mine, with a calm tone. “I gotcha, Baby Girl, keep your eyes on me.” His calm tone, those eyes, his warm touch calms me, and I find myself losing myself in the moment, until I realize the helicopter is in the air and I look out the window and down;holy fuck!
I hear him chuckle through the headset before his thumb and pointer finger grip my chin, pulling my head back towards him, snapping my eyes back to his. “I told you to look at me.”
“You're crazy, you know that.” He shrugs his shoulders as those delicious lips turn into a smirk. “So are you.”
Relaxing with each passing moment, my eyes stay locked on Ace's. The familiar hum from the engine, reminding me of my car, which calms me even more.
“See it's not so bad.” I giggle sarcastically with my words. “Yeah sure.”
“Baby Girl, you better get used to this, we'll be in a helicoptera lot.” My eyes slightly roll letting out a huff and his grip on my chin tightens. “Did you just roll your eyes at me?” I giggle as I say. “Maybe.” He shakes his head, a smirk toying on his lips.
The pilot comes over the headset, letting Ace know we have arrived which causes my eyes to look out the window, seeing we are still over water, no land insight, a boat in the middle of the ocean. I look back over at Ace, a playful smile twists from his lips as he starts unbuttoning his shirt. “Strip, Baby Girl; it's time to get wet.” My eyes widen and my mouth falls. “What? I thought you were joking.”
“Do you know me to joke?”
“Ace, I'm not fucking jumping!”
“Trust me, you will love it!”
A huff escapes my throat and I shake my head. He slides his shirt from his shoulders before he says. “You can either go with your clothes on, or take them off. I find it more refreshing without them.”
“You are fucking crazy! This is fucking insane, I am not jumping!”
He barks a laugh. “Do you trust me?” My heart slams against my chest with his words; yes I trust him, but what the fuck, we are jumping from a fucking helicopter into the water!
“Yes, I trust you.”
“Good, now strip, it will give you a high of a lifetime, I promise.”
I huff before I take a deep breath and start peeling my clothes from my body until I am left with nothing on. The pilot comes on saying he's ready when we are and my heart sinks to my gut when Ace reaches for the door and opens it, the fresh air smacking me in the face.
Ace takes my hand and pulls me up to him, standing next to the door, looking down at the water below us, Ace wraps his arms around me and looks down at me. “You ready?” Ace askes with a mischievous smirk to his lips. “Fuck N-” Without waiting for my full response, he lifts me off the floor beneath my feet and launcheshimself out the plane with me in his arms. I wrap my legs around him and cling to his body for dear life as we fall from the helicopter, his arms holding me tight, bracing for our fall.
