“Never mind,” Phillip rushed out. “We will discuss it later.”

“It’s okay, Spicy. I love you and Keegan too,” Victor responded. “I was waiting for the perfect moment. You found it first. And it’s a good thing you did because my kitty nearly bit the shit out of Keegan as he fucked me.”

“My fangs dropped too,” Phillip confessed.

“So, can we bind our souls?” Keegan asked. “Because I love you both too.”

“This is less romantic that I had wanted for you both,” Phillip complained, hoping he wasn’t leaning too heavily on Keegan. His limbs felt like jelly. “But that is what I want most in life.”

“This is wonderful and just for us,” Victor insisted. “And I promise we’ll get cleaned up and cuddle for hours to celebrate.”

“Or maybe we plan an encore?” Keegan asked, his voice bright with hope.

Pleased he hadn’t offended anyone by finally speaking the truth in his heart while they were sweaty and sticky with lube, Phillip smiled as relief flooded him and his dragon.

“Whatever you both want. I offer you my heart and my soul.”

“Now that is definitely romantic,” Victor replied with a happy sigh.

“And sexy because he’s still inside me,” Keegan added with a husky laugh.

“I adore you both; thank you for tonight.”

“No, thankyou,” they replied together, making them all chuckle.

It was a wonderful night and one Phillip planned to repeat as often as his mates wanted. And soon, he and his dragon would have their greatest wish—to be bonded eternally with Keegan and Victor.

Chapter 27

Victor had slept little the previous night, but his emotions were so buoyant he barely noticed his fatigue. After making love with Keegan and Phillip, Victor had cuddled with his men. They’d stayed up for hours, partly due to the afterglow of fantastic sex, but mostly because they kept sharing soft words of affection.

Although Victor had known Phillip and Keegan cared for him, he hadn’t realized until his sentinel blurted the words how much he and his cat had needed to hear it—especially with the unexpected dropping of his fangs. His kitty had been ready to claim Phillip and Keegan. It was a relief to know Phillip’s dragon struggled with the same desire.

With a radiant glow, Victor had made it through the day, cleaning and cooking as usual. Evergreen had made several pointed comments at lunch, but Victor had ignored them. Tomorrow night they were traveling to D’Vaire, and Victor and his mates had decided the best plan was to make the announcement about their upcoming matebond when the entire family was together.

Throughout dinner with the Darays, Victor had wanted to shout their news, but he’d survived without making a peep about it. Several days ago, they’d made plans to hang out at Evergreenand Dudley’s apartment, and Victor wished they could gracefully postpone. But it would hurt their feelings, and it wasn’t as if Victor didn’t want to be around them. He just wasn’t sure how long he could keep his mouth shut.

Victor had driven them over to the apartment building, and he grabbed a bottle of wine as Phillip and Keegan exited the car.

“Are you okay, Sparkles?” Keegan asked, plucking the bottle from Victor’s grasp and taking his hand.

“I’m afraid Evergreen is going to wring our big news from me,” Victor replied as he held out his free arm toward Phillip, who laced their fingers as they wove their way inside to the elevator.

“He runs our office and is used to being on top of everything, but he must only wait until tomorrow to learn about our upcoming matebond,” Phillip said.

“I’m so excited,” Keegan enthused. “Oh, and I haven’t said it or texted it in about an hour…I love you both.”

Victor chuckled. “I love you too. Both of you.”

“I love you both wholeheartedly. So does my dragon.”

“Oh, now my kitty is feeling competitive and wants to assure you he adores and worships you both,” Victor commented as they stepped into the elevator and Phillip hit the button for the correct floor.

“No fair, I don’t have a beast to brag about,” Keegan bemoaned.

“Do you think it’s worth asking Chand to shadow walk again to see if we can learn anything about your past?” Victor asked.

Keegan shrugged. “Unless it bothers anyone else, I’m good with things. While it’d be nice to know why Phillip’s dragon can get overprotective, we didn’t get even a hint of anything on our shadow walk. Spicy, what do you think?”
