“Yes,” Oliver answered. Over the past few days, Oliver had spent a little time on the phone with Worthington, but he was inexplicably nervous to be with him again. He refused to allow his edginess to prevent him from visiting Worthington’s home or meeting his family. Panic aside, Oliver and his beast were more determined than ever to create a lasting relationship with the other half of their soul.

D’Vaire was protected by an impenetrable magical bubble, so he’d been instructed to call Worthington when he and Orion were prepared to leave. As his brother bounced from onesneaker to the other, Oliver ignored the butterflies in his tummy and dug his cell phone out. Worthington answered on the first ring.

“Hello, Owliver,” Worthington said. It was overwhelming to hear the joy in Worthington’s voice whenever they spoke, and Oliver wondered if the dragon was wearing his sexy grin. “Are you ready for your visit?”

“Good afternoon, Your Grace,” Oliver replied, his unease and worry disappearing. Amused that it took nothing more than being on the phone with Worthington to calm him, Oliver hoped he had the same effect on the dragon. “Yes, we’re ready.”

“Are you practicing royal address to annoy my brother?”

“I prefer not to annoy anyone.”

“I don't believe that, or you would’ve ignored my title as you did the night we met. Now, can I send Dra’Kaedan over to get you? I’m eager to see you again and meet your brother.”

“Are you sure this isn’t inconveniencing the Grand Warlock?”

“Owliver, do you wish to get in my bad books before you even arrive today?”

Oliver smiled at Worthington’s mock indignation. “Of course not.”

“Then send me a photo so Dra’Kaedan can come get you.”

“Okay.”

They said their farewells, and Oliver took a picture of the foyer of the house. Seconds later, Orion let out a startled shriek and Oliver jumped as two men appeared nearby. One had a halo of golden-blond ringlets and mischievous navy eyes. Oliver’s senses immediately labeled him as a Fate-chosen leader. Behind the warlock was a man several inches taller than Oliver with a scaly dragony gaze of deep blue.

“Hi, I’m Dra’Kaedan, and this is my mate, Brogan,” the Grand Warlock said, gesturing to the man towering above him.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Grand Warlock and Your Grace,” Oliver replied.

“Congratulations on your matebond, and titles are unnecessary,” Dra’Kaedan responded. “We’re family now.”

Brogan kneeled so he was closer to Orion’s height. The little boy was staring wide-eyed at the Grand Duke, and Oliver wasn’t sure he was breathing. “That looks like a pretty cool book you have there,” Brogan commented with a grin.

“It’s about dragons,” Orion whispered.

“Do you want to meet some awesomesauce ones?” Dra’Kaedan asked.

“I’m an awesomesauce one,” Brogan retorted with a glance at his other half.

“I didn't say you weren’t,” Dra’Kaedan said with an eye-roll.

“Is Worthington really a pink dragon?” Orion asked quietly.

Brogan smiled and nodded. “Absolutely. Are you ready to see him and the other beautiful dragons in our family? We have a bunch of people ready to fly for you.”

Orion returned his grin. “I can't wait.”

“Oliver, are you ready to go too?” Dra’Kaedan asked. “Our family is so excited that you and Worth have finally found each other.”

With a deep breath, Oliver allowed the gorgeous mental image of Worthington to enter his mind. His owl hooted with delight. Yes, he was definitely ready to be with his mate again. “Absolutely.”

“Cool,” Dra’Kaedan replied. “Close your eyes so you don’t get dizzy, and I'll teleport us to D’Vaire.”

“Thank you for teleporting us,” Oliver said, doing as he’d been instructed.

“My pleasure.”

For a few moments, the ground disappeared beneath Oliver’s feet, then he was outside an enormous mansion. One of the double doors opened, and a stunning man with black hair barely brushing his shoulders stood there. On his flawless face was a warm smile, and Oliver's heart fluttered in his chest. Oliver wasn't sure how it was possible that the gorgeous man was his mate, but he refused to squander the opportunity to share his life with Worthington.
