Skyler pulls out, and we quickly yank up our pants as he drops the air bubble. A cold gust of wind hits me, and we take off running toward the East Tower.

I slow down, lagging behind uncomfortably. “Oh, goddess!” I mumble, my cheeks heating in embarrassment.

“What? What’s wrong?” Skyler immediately slows down as well, hovering next to me.

“N-nothing. It’s just. . . I can feel your cum dripping out of me and running down my balls. It’s mildly uncomfortable.”

Skyler tips his head back and laughs into the starry night. “I’ll have to get you a plug, then. Keep you stuffed full.” His eyes take on a serious, dominant sheen, and I swallow thickly.

“I think I might like to try that,” I tell him truthfully, the only way I know how.

He leans in and kisses me fiercely as his cum continues to slide down my thighs, making my cheeks heat further.

“This has been the absolute best winter break I’ve ever had,” Skyler tells me earnestly, emotion swimming in his eyes.

“I can say the exact same thing, but it’s not over yet.” I kiss him tenderly, excited for the rest of my plans, especially for the new year.

The gentle clunk of hooves is relaxing as we glide along the snow-covered path in our horse-drawn sleigh. Blossom City Park is magnificent any time of year, but there's just something magical about the wintertime and being cuddled up under a thick blanket with a mug of hot cocoa between your hands. And, of course, being with the love of your life.

Soft snow begins to fall around us, tickling the tip of my nose. It truly is a winter wonderland here. It’s completely magical.

Even though it’s freezing out, and warm chocolate is settled into our bellies, I grab the champagne from the ice bin and pop the top, laughing with Sky as it goes flying off into the distance. “Let’s make a toast,” I declare. “To new beginnings, fresh starts, and what’s sure to be the best year of our lives.Together.And to the first of hundreds more filled with happiness, growth, and most importantly, love.”

“And sex!” Skyler shouts. “Lots and lots of fucking.”

There’s a silent pause, and I swear I hear the coachman choke before we burst out laughing. Once our mirth is settled down, we tip our flutes back, indulging in some of the finest champagne Faerie has to offer.

Skyler leans in and kisses me fiercely just as the clock strikes midnight and fireworks go off around us. I savor his taste as he thrusts his tongue into my mouth impossibly far. Our kiss is intense, reverent, and full of desire. This is the perfect way to start the new year, and I pull back, gasp for air, and smile as the fireworks literally go off in Skyler’s eyes. I gaze around us at the colorful show, completely happy and excited to start this next semester with the calming support of my boyfriendandnodrama. Even though I still don’t know where my brother disappeared to over the break.

“I love you, Oleander Sage Sauveterre. So much.” Skyler’s words are heartfelt and pure, alight with so much passion that it warms my soul. His silvery blue eyes reflect in the soft moonlight and the powdery snow.

“Love you too,” I whisper, staring into his eyes and feeling the connection humming between us. We came together through threads of fate bound tightly by love and loyalty, knotted together for eternity. No sword is strong enough to sever our bond. When you hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up, and we’re on our way to the top. No one knows all that we’ve been through or what kind of shitty hand the world has given us. But we took it, and we made something of ourselves, proving everyone wrong. Because we’re crazy enough to die for each other and loyal enough to love and support each other, always.

Two kings destined for greatness.

We have a potent kind of love, and anyone or anything in our way better watch the fuck out.

EPILOGUE

OLEANDER

Even though we had a perfect winter break, I think we’re both ready to get back to our suite at Elemental Academy and settle into our new routine of classes. I’ve informed Skyler that we arenotallowed to get into any trouble this semester. At all.No beasts, no ghouls, and no assholes. Just smooth sailing from here on out. It may be wishful thinking but I’m sticking with it.

Skyler and I gather our bags from the trunk while Suka stays in the driver’s seat. I told him we could handle carrying our own luggage this time. Our classmates are used to our presence, so no one gathers to greet us, thank goddess. We easily slip into Edgemoor Hall, down the corridor, and into the elevator up to our penthouse suite.

“Home sweet home,” Skyler whispers in relief as I unlock the door, and we step inside after being gone for weeks.

“I missed this place,” I murmur, my magic instantly sensing the plants and reviving them after their brief period of dormancy. I stroll over, running my fingers through their leaves. “Hello again, my babies.” After a few more boosts of magic and a nice drink of water, my indoor jungle is once again thriving and lush.

“Food!” Skyler shouts behind me, and I spin around to catch him opening the fridge to find it fully stocked once again. “This is incredible. . .” he quietly gasps.

I chuckle at his enthusiasm for ourmagicalrefrigerator. Skyler makes me feel valued and needed, and I love that he prefers my cooking to anyone else's. “Want me to whip us up some lunch?” We have the rest of the day and tonight to settle in, but classes start first thing in the morning.

“You better believe I do, baby.” Skyler kisses my lips briefly before retreating to his bedroom to unpack. Even though we keep our belongings in our own rooms, we always choose a bed to sleep in together. Sometimes it feels unreal to cuddle with another living being every night, like I don’t deserve it. But when I close my eyes, usually with his heartbeat pressed to my back, we chase the bad dreams away for each other. And it’s perfect. We can’t erase all that we’ve been through, and I wouldn’t want to. It makes us stronger, and most importantly, it came with Skyler.

As I gather the ingredients for a simple lunch of potato and leek soup, I smile at how far my life has come in one short semester. I was so alone before when I locked myself away for five long years. And now, I have my boyfriend—my best friend, my right-hand man—in my bed every night.

It truly is magic.
