“Faith, I know that you are not a fan of this fated mate business,” his voice boomed across the water. “Whether or not it is true remains to be seen, but there is one thing I know for sure—I am in love with you, and I want to spend the rest of my demon-filled life with you by my side.”

Faith felt her heart beating rapidly. Here she was again, having the most beautiful thing presented in front of her, and she was hesitant. She knew that it was out of fear that she rejected people who loved her. But she didn’t want to do that anymore.

Faith stepped closer to him, then wrapped her arms around his head. It was soaking but still warm. She pressed him against her chest. She breathed in deeply, then pulled away, looking deep into his eyes.

“Kurse…” Faith noticed how the light in his eyes dimmed. She placed her hands back around his neck. “No, no, it's a good thing. Kurse, I am okay with you calling me your fated mate. I want to spend the rest of my life with you too. I love you.”

And with that, Kurse leapt high into the air while holding onto his beloved. Faith held onto his neck tightly as he slammed into the deck, shooting them through the deck and into the engine room.

“Whoops,” Kurse said, brushing off panels of wood that had fallen onto Faith’s head. He turned to her, and she rolled her eyes but pulled him in for a deep kiss. Their tongues met, and she felt herself moan when a noise disrupted their reunion.

“What was that?” Faith inquired.

Kurse placed her down softly. He cringed and placed his finger over his mouth.

“Oh, I didn’t get to tell you yet. Your parents weren’t exactly happy with the idea of taking their boat out to sea to save you, so I had to kinda…”

Her parents both fell out of a cupboard at the same time, wrapped in thick rope and complaining. They shouted when they saw her, and she giggled.

“You had to force them?” Faith finished his sentence. Kurse placed his hands behind his back and apologized.

Faith could not have been further away from anger. Her parents seemed to think of her as melodramatic, so they probably didn’t even believe Kurse when he told them his tale. Kurse helped her untie her parents, giving each other wide smiles as they did.

Charles shot up to his feet, pushing Kurse away from him.

“You stole my ship, you bastard! Who do you think you are? I will have you banished to the depths of hell!” Charles screamed, the whites of his tennis outfit having been stained from the grease from the rope. Her mother stood up and began fingering at the marks the rope left.

“Oh, calm down, Charles,” Linda uttered, continuing to admire herself. “Our daughter is right in front of us, can’t you see? He was able to save her.”

Linda smiled at Kurse. Faith knew that she was going to be easier to win over than her father.

Her father crossed his arms in a huff. “Just tell me that you didn’t break anything.”

Both Faith and Kurse looked at each other. Slowly, their eyes moved to the hole in the ceiling above them that Kurse had created with his leap of joy. Linda and Charles’s eyes followed suit, with Linda laughing and Charles throwing his hands up into the air.

“I need a fucking drink!” He exclaimed before leaving the engine room. Linda walked over to Faith and embraced her. It was the hardest they had ever hugged. She pulled away and whispered in her ear, pointing at Kurse.

“This is a good one, don’t let him go.”

Faith smiled, gripping Kurse’s hand in hers.

“Don’t I know it.”

Kurse and Faith followed her parents to the upper deck bar. Faith decided that she first needed a shower and some food before putting any alcohol into her system. The water falling over her felt like heaven incarnate. As she simmered in it, Kurse knocked on the shower door.

“I wish I could join you,” Kurse said, admiring her body.

Faith giggled, loving how naughty he could be. “Hopefully, we will find a waterfall we can both bathe in one day.”

Kurse nodded, loving the idea. Faith continued to clean herself, feeling Kurse’s eyes on her body. She rubbed soap up and down her legs, breasts, vagina, and ass. She wondered if Kurse’s erection was capable of smashing through the glass of the shower door.

Then, she remembered the doppelgänger. The poor creature that had been enslaved by Gideon’s Torch. What would become of him now?

She pushed the shower door open and brought Kurse’s face up with his chin.

“As much as I am enjoying this, I think we should save that doppelgänger.”

Kurse’s face was blank. Then he shook off his arousal and recalled.
