“More, Tuli.”

He grinned. This shy person was able to tell him what she needed.Who was he to refuse that gift?

“You got it.”He worked his hips, adjusting his position to relieve the tingle of pain shooting into his right thigh.

No way would a stupid injury stop him from enjoying this evening and ensuring her pleasure. Each thrust brought them closer together, and he cupped her head and pressed his damp forehead to hers.Their panting became one.

When she locked her ankles around his backside? He became a man happily drowning in the rushing river of sexiness that was Lou.She could do that move any day of the week, and he’d be the luckiest guy in the world.

A blast of pleasure took him by surprise as he chased his release.“Oh God.I’m coming, Lou!”

She clung to him.He kissed her with everything he had but somehow held off long enough for her to join him as they crested together in a tangle of limbs and cries. The grip of her inner muscles rippled around him.He never wanted her to let go.He didn’t want to leave.Ever.Sensations rolled on and on until Tuli couldn’t tell where he ended and Lou began.Words utterly failed him.

He shuddered under the light drift of her fingertips over his back. The press of her cheek against his was life.Bliss.Perfection.

It was Lou.

Home. This was home.No.This was more than home.It was family.Like cracked ice melting and refreezing, something shattered and then re-formed in his chest.

Lou was his family.

Lou was his everything.

A hard lump in his throat choked him.

Unable to move or say a word, he simply rested there in her arms. She was part of him.She was the missing piece of his world.

Only, she hadn’t been missing, had she?Lou had always been right there.

At her low hum, he lifted his head.A shimmer in her eyes brought him back to Earth in a hurry.

He pushed up on one arm.“Lou, are you okay?”

She sighed.“Very okay.”

“These are good tears?”

“Yes.What about yours?”

He lifted his head and swiped.Yep.Wet.No shame in that.He earned it.“Very good tears, Lou.”

Leaning down, he wrapped his arms around her once again and they lay entwined for several minutes longer until he softened and eased out of her.Standing, he looked back at her sprawled body and sated smile.Stepping away, even for a minute, challenged his self-control.He quickly cleaned up and then brought back a warm washcloth to take care of her.

After setting the cloth on the nightstand, he pulled back the covers and helped her under them. Then he turned off the bedside lamp and pulled her against him, back to chest.A perfect fit, of course.

Twining his fingers in hers, he murmured, “Where has that been my whole life?”

“It’s always been right here.”

“Lou, I want this to work.Us.”That was more of a commitment statement than anything he’d ever spoken in his life.

“I know.Me too.”She swallowed.“I just… don’t want you disappointed by your life later down the road.”

“If I’m with you, I won’t be disappointed.Period.”He nuzzled her neck, the words muffled.“Besides, we can always have kids other ways if we want.Adoption.”He kissed her on the shoulder.“I don’t quite understand how the genetics work, but can we roll the dice?Use a fertility doctor to help us get a good egg and sperm?”

“It won’t work that way for us.”

“That’s okay.”
