Caleb guides me up the aisle, and I run my fingers along the pews as we walk."So, we've got a lot on our plate," he remarks over his shoulder, giving me a grin that makes my heart flutter."The roof's leaking in a couple of spots, some of the pews need strengthening up, and don't even get me started on the sorry state of the bathrooms."He chuckles.

"There’s a bad leak over there," he explains, pointing towards one area with a red bucket on the floor."It's been dripping onto the pews during services. Not exactly promising for prayer."I laugh, picturing parishioners dodging water droplets while trying to pray.

"No, I suppose not.I'll take a look and see what we're dealing with."

He then gestures for me to follow him, leading us to a worn door with an 'out of order' sign haphazardly taped on it in the back corner of the Chapel. After fiddling with the lock and flipping on a switch, we enter a cramped bathroom that is in dire need of some attention. The walls are peeling, the toilet is clogged, and the sink is missing fixtures.

"The plumbing in here has been out of commission for quite a while," Caleb explains, his voice tinged with frustration."I attempted to do some work myself, but as you can see, I was unsuccessful.Do you think you can work your magic and get this place up and running again?"He asks.Without hesitation, I scan the bathroom and confidently respond with a grin:

"Consider it done."

We arrive at a door on the opposite side of the room near the front.Caleb opens the door, revealing the classroom designated for the younger children during mass. The door creaks open, and a small room bursting with color greets me.Vibrant posters adorn every inch of wall space, displaying scenes from Biblical stories and cheerful messages in bold letters.

A handful of tiny chairs are scattered around the room, their bright colors and miniature size making them seem almost toy-like.A small play area has been set up in one corner, teeming with colorful blocks and stuffed animals.

Caleb's eyes quickly scan the room, as he speaks."We were just thinking that some sturdy shelves and a toy chest would spruce this place up," he remarks, gesturing towards the open space.I follow his hand, already picturing the potential."With all the kids coming through here, it'd be great to have a more organized and welcoming area for them to play."

"I think I have the perfect idea," I say, grinning.Caleb looks at me expectantly."You will just have to wait and see," I shrug.Caleb's broad smile twitches in the corner of his mouth as he nods and continues the tour.

The old floors creak and groan under our weight as we navigate back towards the other side of the chapel."Hey Cole?"His voice breaks through my thoughts as he glances at me over his shoulder."I appreciate you helping out like this."My heart flutters at his words, causing heat to rise up my neck.

"It's no problem," I reply nonchalantly, trying to hide the nervous tinge in my voice."I'm happy to lend a hand."

As we walk my eyes drift to Caleb's ass while he's walking ahead of me.My God the man has an amazing ass.I wonder if he works out?My mind wanders to dirty places, and before I know it, my cock decides to make an appearance.Jesus Christ, not now!I stealthily move my hands in front of my crotch, desperately trying to think of anything unsexy.

Caleb suddenly interrupts my thoughts."Cole, are you alright?"Heat rises to my cheeks when I realize I didn't know we had stopped walking.

"Y-yeah, just mentally planning."I awkwardly squeak, wishing the ground would swallow me where I stand.I inwardly groan, day one Cole, day fucking one and you’re already fucking this up.

Caleb nods as we continue."There's one more thing I wanted to show you," Caleb says, his forehead creasing. As we walk towards the end of the hallway leading out of the Chapel, we stop at a set of double doors."It's a bit of a delicate situation."My curiosity piqued, I wait while he unlocks the doors.

We enter a spacious yet unfinished kitchen. The walls are draped in plastic, and the baseboards are taped off with paper. My heart drops as I take in the scene."Sorry about this; it's a project we never got around to finishing," Caleb's voice is subdued and apologetic.

This is what Dad had been working on for the Church before he passed away.A wave of sorrow washes over me, my Dad's final project.I wonder why it hasn't been touched in the last three years?

Caleb meets my gaze with warmth and understanding."I wasn't sure if this would be too difficult for you," he explains softly. But I gather my strength and shake my head.

"No, I can handle it; no problem.Just give me the details on what needs to be done," I say with a nod.Taking a deep breath, I push aside my emotions and focus on the here and now, Dad would want me to do this.

A FEW HOURS LATER, as I'm working in the chapel, my phone buzzes.

Mason:

So how's the first day,

Me:

The work is a breeze.Everything

else is torture!

Mason:

Did anything happen?
