The naughty pair burst out laughing, knowing they would be teased endlessly, but it was so worth it. With only their discarded shirts at hand, RJ wiped down his body while Jonah cleaned off the bench with sanitizer and paper towels. There wasn’t anything they could do about the cum on the carpet, so they gathered the rest of their things and opened the door.
A cloud of pheromones washed over a grinning Nolan and Garrett, almost preventing them from making a snide comment. Almost.
“Nice work, boys. You know, this is one place we haven’t done it yet.”
Jonah’s dramatic eye roll spoke volumes.
“Riiiiight... you expect me to believe there’s one place left where you haven’t buried the weasel? Not likely!”
Elbowing Nolan out of the way, Jonah pulled his abashed mate into the hall after him. Garrett called out before they got away.
“So? Any advice?”
Jonah turned with a lecherous grin.
“Try it naked, and wait until he’s all sweaty. Have fun!”
Garrett pushed Nolan into the room and slammed the door—already arguing over who would do what. Jonah and RJ hurried toward the exit through the gathering crowd, amid knowing looks and laughter, on a dead run for home and round two.
Chapter 50
FAIRBANKS, AK
Everet and Mia laughed as an energetic Wesley tried to grab the computer screen, babbling at the images of Jack and Evan. At three months of age and growing up fast, the little shaver was eating solid foods, testing his vocal apparatus, and scooting all over the house on his belly. Mia leaned over to lift him from Everet’s lap and wave a greeting at their friends.
“Be sure to tell Jonah and RJ how happy we are for them, and I want pictures of both of your families. Everet and I are seriously talking about making a trip to Gladstone sometime soon. I can’t wait to meet everyone in person. Tell your mates hello for me, too!”
Taking Wesley with her, Mia backed out of the camera’s pickup and left her mate alone for his meeting with Jack and Evan. Much had happened since their last conference call, and Jack began with a question.
“It pleased me to hear of your contact with Owen Mott. What did you learn, my friend?”
Everet explained Mott’s background, life, and untimely death—only one of the reasons he did not attend Everet’s birth.
“Our stories were similar; neither knowing what we were and ending up in the wilderness of Alaska. I spent time with him all three days of the full moon, sharing teaching dreams to fill in the gaps and bring him up to date. He now knows of you, Evan, and the Gladstone pack. I promised to greet you for him.”
Excited, Evan responded first.
“I’m so happy you have access to the Afterworld and can interact with your mentor. What kind of man is he? Will you be friends?”
Everet nodded with a smile.
“He wants to continue our discussions and has promised to learn more from the others. Owen is a good man and eager for friendship. I wish I had known him in this life, but we have another chance now and are both grateful. He is eager to hear what will become of Alpha Sheppard’s plans for our security, and I hope to have something to tell him at the next full moon. I am curious, Jack; were you able to introduce William or Evan to Hezekiah?”
Jack shook his head.
