Robert’s arousal did not go unnoticed by those nearby, eliciting curious glances and a few chuckles. He whispered back.
“Mmmm... taken by the Beast, eh? I can’t wait!”
A captivated audience followed the on-screen action as the villagers rose up to “kill the beast!”, making their way towards the enchanted castle. Inside, the transformed staff made preparations to defend their home against the armed villagers. Meanwhile, Beauty and the Beast inched closer to declaring their true feelings. Absorbed by the story, couples snuggled, and children drew quiet with anticipation of a happy ending.

ROBYN’S RESTLESS PACINGstopped abruptly as she circled the nest and lay down. The moment they’d waited for finally arrived and she whined as the contraction intensified. The first pup emerged, an Alpha male, and she immediately began to lick him clean. Next, she severed the shriveled umbilical cord with her sharp teeth and nudged him closer with her snout. Soon after, she passed and ate the placenta before settling down to await the next pup.
Jack and William stood to observe the process, hovering protectively over their mate and child while Jonah watched from atop the bed. While Jack licked Robyn’s face, William scented and licked their son, interspersed with joyful yips. He traded places with Jack and the process repeated itself. Robyn lay quietly; alert, calm, but still panting. At the couple’s request, Jonah recorded the whole thing on his phone and wrote down the time of birth in the baby book he bought for them.
Fifteen minutes later, Robyn gave a low growl and then stretched out to deliver the second pup – a Delta female this time. Divested of her umbilical cord and licked clean, she joined her squirmy brother as they each sought out a nipple. Jack and William dutifully inspected their newborn daughter and again showered Robyn with affectionate licks and body rubs. While the twins ate, Robyn passed the afterbirth and then settled down to rest with a tremendous sigh. Her mates lay on either side, hyper-alert and protective of their family.
Jonah stopped recording, getting down off the bed to fetch the water bowl. Robyn enjoyed a good drink, licking the excess moisture from her muzzle before scenting the pups again. Safe and satisfied, she yipped softly at her mates and closed her eyes. Jonah returned to his perch on the bed, snapped a photo, and sent it with a text to Ben. He may have missed tonight’s movie, but being allowed to share in this event gave him wonderful memories to treasure. Maybe someday Robyn would return the favor and be present when he gave birth to his own pups.

THE MOVIE ENDED WITHa raucous round of applause, mixed with pleased growls and excited chatter. When Robert walked up front to stand before the screen, they all settled down to hear what he had to say.
“Thank you for coming tonight. I hope you enjoyed the film, and if you have suggestions for other movie nights, please share them. A special thanks to Susan and Ash for helping out tonight, and to Ben for permission to try something new. I bid you all a good night!”
Ben’s voice cut through the resulting hustle and bustle and people paused to listen.
“Hold up everyone! I have an announcement. A few minutes ago, Jack, William, and Robyn welcomed two pups into the world. Kiah Jackson Eby and Marie Robin Campbell are the most recent additions to the Gladstone pack!”
The crowd cheered, smiles on every face as the fun evening became a celebration. Robert, ever the romantic, grabbed Ash for a toe-curling kiss. When they came up for air, Robert surprised his mate with a question.
“When are we going to start our family, babe? I used to think I was already too old to have kids, but if William and Jack can do it, so can I. What do you say?”
They’d only been mated for two months and hadn’t discussed the issue before now. It hardly mattered to Ash, as he already knew the answer. He brought both hands up to cradle Robert’s upturned face.
“Yes. As soon as you’re done traveling for work we’ll make arrangements. Meanwhile, I think we need to practice some more. Starting tonight. Soon enough for you?”
Robert nodded his head, emotion having choked off his voice. Unfortunately, a persistent patting on his left knee interrupted the tender interlude. He looked down to find Evie smiling up at him and kneeled down to speak with her.
“Robert! Your wolf is happy – I can tell!”
“He sure is honey. Did you like the movie?”
She clapped her little hands with glee.
“Oh, yes! It was like a book only better! I thought the Beast was a shifter like us, but he can only he a human now. Oh - Papa wants to know if you need help cleaning the packhouse.”
Evan helped recruit some volunteers while the families with small children went on home. An hour later the floors were clean, furniture replaced, and the movie equipment packed up. Ben made a last-minute appearance before Robert and Ash left the building.
“I’ve had a ton of positive feedback, Robert, and I want to thank you for all the planning and work. Some of the ladies are asking for a chick flick night and the guys are hoping for an action film here and there. I know you rented the screen and equipment, but I’d like you to research the price for a set up of our own. It’s going to get a lot of use!”
“Sure thing, Ben. It won’t be cheap, but the cost of renting would be higher. I’ll let you know. Thanks for letting me do this... it meant a lot.”
Ben turned to go and Ash almost dragged his mate back to the apartment, hard dick straining the pants of his rented costume. He thought Robert looked hot in his tight, red uniform pants; knowing he’d look even better out of them. Time to exact payment for services rendered.
“Get naked, Robbie. Your ass is MINE!”
Robert took his promised “punishment” eagerly, impaled on the Beast.
