“Starting now, they will be,” he jokes, turning them until they shut, and we can no longer be seen. Now that we actually have some privacy, he comes to stand before me. He steps so close his legs are between mine as I sit on the table. I can see so many questions in his dark eyes when he looks down at me. “I wasn’t out of line by throwing him out, was I?”

“I couldn’t have done it any better myself,” I reply, straightening my back until my lips touch his.

HUDSON

Islow our kiss and pull back, letting out a long breath. “I guess I better go explain things to the guys.”

She offers up a breathtaking smile. “I think they got the gist of it.”

I laugh and shake my head. “Probably so, but they still deserve an explanation.” I give her one more quick kiss and leave the office so she can get back to work.

I walk over to the center of the garage. “I want to see everyone up front,” I tell them, turning and walking out the bay door into the parking lot.

Slowly, all the guys start to trickle out the doors. They form a long line in front of me.

“I know you probably all have some questions about what you just witnessed in there,” I start.

“Oh hell, Hudson,” Tony says. “We’re grown men. We can figure it out without you explaining it.”

I hold up my hand to silence him. “I know you can, but you’re my crew, and I owe you an explanation.”

“You don’t owe us anything,” Marv says, waving his hand in my direction. “We love you, and we love her. The two of you should be together.”

Zane laughs. “I agree, but I do want to know what happened to keep your hands to yourself?” he teases.

I laugh and put my hands on my hips while my head dips forward and shakes from side to side.

“Yeah, you gotta admit, boss, you screwed that rule up worse than any of us,” Tony says.

“Look, this wasn’t planned. Yes, I was attracted to her the second she walked through those doors, but I never imagined she’d feel the same way about me. I tried to avoid my feelings for her, and I did for about a month. Then one night, the two of us were here alone, and the next thing I knew…” I don’t want to sayI was between her legs as I had her sprawled out on the stainless steel table,so I just shake my head and let the sentence fall away. “Anyway—”

“Anyway,” Tony interrupts. “You two are a couple now, and that guy was her ex who came to win her back, and you knocked him on his ass. Way to go, buddy,” he says, walking up to me and wrapping his arm around my neck. We all head inside, where we stop at the office, and everyone celebrates with a round of beers.

As evening approaches, everyone wanders out when they finish their work for the day. El sticks around until I finish, and then we lock up the shop and climb on my bike. We stop at the bar and grill for dinner and drinks. We figure, why not? Everyone already knows about us now. We get a table, share a pitcher of beer, and have dinner. Tony walks in and finds us, and he must call up the rest of the guys because before we know it, they’re all surrounding us. They take turns buying the rounds and the cheers to us. I end up moving over to sit next to El while Tony and Zane take the bench across from us. The rest of the guys crowd around in any way they’ll fit.

It’s going on nine before we leave and make our way back to my place. We walk inside, and the moment the door is closed, my mouth is on hers as I’m pinning her up against the door. Her arms and legs wrap around me, clinging to me like I’m the air she needs to breathe. My greedy hands begin to work their way up her shirt, pushing it up as they go. Finally, I break our kiss and yank it over her head, tossing it onto the floor behind us.

Her mouth smashes back against mine the moment the shirt is off, and my hands are working at the hooks on the back of her bra. I unsnap it, and the material falls away. I drop to my knees and kiss down her breasts and stomach while my hands are freeing her from her shorts. They fall around her ankles, along with her underwear, and she steps out of them and kicks them to the side. I kiss my way to the junction between her thighs.

She lets out a long-drawn-out breath as her head dips back against the door. I pick up one of her legs and toss it over my shoulder, exposing her more. My tongue runs between her folds and brushes against her needy nub. She lets out a moan and calls out my name. Her excitement only makes me work harder, faster. It’s only a matter of seconds before she’s screaming my name and grinding herself against my mouth. I don’t stop until she’s breathing hard and practically limp beneath me.

When I pull away and she almost falls over, I catch her, pick her up against me, and then I kiss her as I walk her back to the bedroom. We fall onto the mattress, and she rolls us over by pushing against my chest. She takes her place on top of me, and she keeps her eyes locked on mine as she frees me from my jeans. She positions her sex right above my aching dick. Biting on her lower lip, she begins to let herself fall. My tip presses against her opening for only a moment because I’ve done my job. It slides past her barrier and enters her painfully slow. I let out a moan the moment we connect. My hands fly to her hips with all intentions of pulling her down on me, but her eyes snap to mine, and she shakes her head. Instead, my hands fall back to the bed where they fist in the blanket, allowing her to take me in slowly, inch by inch. My eyes roll back in my head as I hold myself back from flipping her over and slamming into her like I desperately want to.

I wake in the morning, and the two of us take a shower together. The shower is spent washing off, touching, kissing, giggling. When we get out, we go to the kitchen where we have some coffee, and we make a quick breakfast that we share. We end up having to leave the house early, though. El doesn’t have any clothes here, and she’s stuck wearing the same thing she had on last night, so I drop her off at home so she can change before she comes into the shop.

I’m the first one at the garage, and I’m not surprised by that, given how early I am. I unlock the door and disable the alarm. Then I go about my usual routine. I go into the office and turn the A/C on so it’ll be nice and cool for when El gets here. After that, I go back into the garage, where I unlock each bay door and open it. I pull the massive industrial-sized fans into the openings and get some airflow. I’ll be happy as hell when summer is over, and we’re no longer sweating our asses off. But putting A/C in the actual garage doesn’t make sense, not when we’re constantly opening and closing the big bay doors to take bikes in and out.

When there’s nothing left to do, I go into the office and open the blinds. I know I said I wanted to keep them closed, but I don’t like leaving everything open when there’s nobody there to watch over the place. There are millions of dollars’ worth of tools, equipment, and bikes in there. I don’t want anyone to just walk in and take what they want.

When the blinds are open, I turn my back to the windows and go over to the coffee machine where I start making myself a cup of coffee. I hear the office door open and close behind me. “Hey, you’re faster than I thought,” I say, turning my head to look over my shoulder. I freeze when it’s not El like I expected.

It’s Jo.

What in the hell is she doing here?
