“We’re going to have a baby?”

I smile and nod, keeping my fingers crossed that he’s as excited as I am.

His smile breaks free and stretches across his face. “I can’t believe this. We’re going to have a baby. I’m going to be a dad.” He pulls me against him and smashes his lips against mine. He kisses me hard and fast and full of excitement and passion and love. I wrap my arms around his neck.

“Okay, now you can take me to bed.”

He lets out a sexy growl as he picks me up and carries me out of the kitchen, down the hall, and to our bedroom that we now share. We fall onto the bed and our hands are on a race to see who can strip the other of their clothing the fastest. Finally, we’re both completely bare and he slides between my thighs. He’s already rock hard and standing at attention as his tip presses against me. It slides between my slick folds and spreads my arousal. Our kiss gets slower and deeper and one roll of his hip has him sliding into me, filling me to the brim.

I let out a sigh of relief at having him back inside me. No matter how long we’re together or how many times we do this, I’ll always miss him not being inside of me. We belong as one. That’s why we were both sent to this mountain. We were made for one another and there’s no escaping fate.

His hands tangle into my hair as he thrusts deeper and deeper inside of me and I cry out his name when my release washes over me. His teeth nip my neck as he pulls out and flips me over. Jerking my hips up in the air, he slides back in from behind. He feels even bigger in this position and the pain mixes deliciously with the pleasure. I feel like I’m so full I’m about to explode and within minutes, my release is building again. His hand tightens on my hips as his thrusts become more erratic. Within seconds, we’re falling over the edge together.

We collapse onto the bed and he pulls me against his chest where I rest my head on his pecs. His fingers are slowly and gently combing through my hair as we work to even our hearts and our breathing.

“We’re going to be parents,” he thinks out loud.

“Yep. You think we can handle it?” I lift my head to look into his blue eyes.

He smirks. “I think we can handle anything as long as we’re together.”

I smile. “I love you, Jack.”

“I love you more than life itself,” he says, lifting his head and pressing his lips to mine again.

And just like that, everything starts all over again. Neither of us will get any sleep tonight, but neither of us care. As long as we’re together and making one another happy, that’s all that matters.

With a new baby on the way, I know that this isn’t the middle of our story, or even the end. It’s just the beginning and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter in our lives will bring. Maybe another child and another and another. Nobody knows, but that’s one of the best parts. If someone would’ve told me that I was going to fall in love with my wild and crazy mountain man neighbor, I may have never moved here to begin with. I’m so glad I did and whatever hand life deals us, we’re up to the challenge. Now and forever.

THE END.
