“Yeah, Nash takes really good care of me.”
“Oh my god, this is amazing. We need to see each other, and have a proper catchup. It’s been too long. I need to see my bestest friend and hear all about her exploits!”
I giggle.
“You’re right. Ithasbeen too long. I miss my best friend. I need to hear more about your life too. This is the most amount of time we’ve gone without one another.” There have to be so many things to discuss, and there’s a lot I want to tell her. “I’ll talk to Nash and see what day works for us, and maybe we can get together.”
“I’ll talk to Colt too. I’m sure he’ll be fine with it,” Amy titters.
I’m sure Nash will say yes. After all, he’s never said no to a request I’ve had, and it’s not like I’m breaking the rules of our agreement. I’m sure a meeting with my best friend will be acceptable.
“Oh, I can’t wait to tell you everything that has happened. I gave you a super quick summary, but there’s so much more. But I’ve got to tell you face-to-face,” my buddy babbles.
“There’s a lot I have to tell you, too. It’s going to be great. You know what?” I ask.
“What?”
“You and Colt should come over to dinner next week. I’m sure the guys would like it, and I want to have you over. You have to see Nash’s house. It’s so lavish.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah! He’s got a private bowling lane, a theater, and a pool. There’s always something to do.”
Amy giggles.
“Colt’s place is the same way. He’s been trying to teach me tennis using his private tennis court, and it’s been… interesting.” She laughs, and that gives me an idea of howinterestingit has been. I laugh too.
“Nash wants me to get better at video games, if you can believe it, so we can play one another. I’m still the newest of the noobs but getting better each day.” We laugh together.
“So, dinner then?” Amy burbles.
“Yeah! Since we both understand each other’s situation, it won’t be weird or anything.”
After all, if Nash and I had anyone over, we’d have to hide our lifestyle. Just two weeks ago, I thought this whole thing was entirely too weird for me to participate in. I almost turned Nash down, which is why I can see how some people would react negatively. It took experiencing the lifestyle of a kept woman for me to understand how great it can be. And I know Amy would never judge me. What makes it even better now is that I know she’s just like me.
I’ve always felt incredibly close to my best friend, and I think we’re about to get even closer.
“Yes! I’ll ask Colt about that dinner at your place,” she giggles. I’m smiling because everything in my life is working out so perfectly. Things have literally never been better. “Oh wait, I have to go. Colt is calling. I’ll talk to you later.”
“Okay, bye girlfriend,” I say into the phone.
“Bye!”
She hangs up so she can talk to her man. I check my phone, but I don’t see any texts from Nash. I wonder if he’s seen my pictures yet? Or is he ignoring me? That would definitely be a punishment I regret, but he wouldn’t. I’m sure I just need to wait a little bit longer.
Anticipation is coursing through me. There’s no way to know when the other shoe will drop after he sees my dirty photos. Being with him has emboldened me in ways I never thought possible. I never used to do seductive things. I never used to take sexy pictures of myself.
It’s like a whole new Nellie has emerged.
I’m also immensely excited by the fact that I’ll be seeing Amy again soon. Oh, I’m going to plan the best dinner. I’ll make sure all her favorites are at the table. She deserves the most delicious meal. I’ll talk to Brenda about what she thinks is best. She knows a lot more about Nash’s life than I do, so she’ll probably know Colt’s food preferences too. We can use our combined knowledge to put together a feast.
After all, I want his friend to like me. I feel like Colt’s opinion is really important to Nash, so when the two of them come over, I’ll make sure it’s the best spread ever.
Yay, I’m so excited!
I’m buzzing so much, I’m about to just go inside and start gabbing with Brenda. I know we don’t have a date planned or anything, but there’s nothing wrong in getting a head start. That way we’ll be extra prepared when the time comes.
I’m about to get up and go inside, when my phone rings again. Could it be Amy calling me again?
