Raising my eyebrows at him, I enjoy his boyish grin.

“What?” he protests. “I like ’em. Just let me make sure they’re super, extra clean.”

With a luscious groan, I tip my head back against his shoulder and let him keep soaping me down until I’m sure I’m the cleanest person in this house.

CHAPTER 39

WILY

So, we used up all the hot water, and I got a shouting lecture from Grady, who arrived home from a run and was anything but impressed to find nothing but stone-cold water in the bathroom.

And he knew it was me, too, because he saw me darting across the hallway, still dripping wet and chasing Satch through my bedroom door.

She was laughing, and shit, I love that sound. She’s got this little giggle that’s all things cute and addictive.

So, when Grady stole it away by thumping on my door and barking at me, I was not impressed.

She was just crawling into my bed, getting comfy between my sheets, totally clean… and totally naked. I was in for a good night.

Until he went and shat on it.

“You can’t go using up all the hot water! Five-minute showers, man. That’s the rule!”

“There were two people in there, so that allows me ten minutes.”

“Bullshit! And you weren’t just ten, you were like twenty!” He points at me, his dark eyes flashing. “If you were screwing her in there, I will?—”

“Shut up,” I stop him before he says something he’ll regret.

Just because he’s not loved-up anymore doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to be.

With a short growl, I quickly put him in his place, and we have a scrappy little argument that is finally broken up by Tyrell, who walks up the stairs and stands right between us.

“Both of you chill.” He gives me a pointed look. “You, get back to your woman.” Then he turns to Grady. “You. Give it thirty minutes and there should be enough hot water for you to clean off.”

We huff away from each other and I stalk back to my room, irritated that Grady is in such a rough place but also annoyed with myself that I let him get to me.

Shit. I’m usually the one breaking up arguments around here with funny jokes and quips to kill any tension, and I just threw myself into an argument because… I didn’t want him saying anything against Satch.

Slipping back into my room, I find her curled up in bed, the covers clutched around her chest. She’s wearing a worried frown, and I try to ease that look away with a smile.

“Is it still okay that I’m here?”

“Of course it is.” I tug off the sweats I threw on to have my argument with Grady.

Her eyes shoot down my body, lingering on my cock, her quirking lips making the guy want to stand at attention all over again.

I was hard in the shower. It was impossible not to be when she was right in front of me, her naked curves all soft and soapy like that.

Damn, I love her body.

Slipping into the bed beside her, I smooth the covers over us and wink at her.

Her smile is fleeting, lost behind a lip nibble. “Are you sure? Your roommate sounded kind of upset. I’m sorry we took too long in the shower.”

“That was my fault. I couldn’t take my hands off you.” I give her a wolfish grin, lifting the covers so I can peek at those luscious tits again.

She blushes crimson, snatching the covers back and tucking them around her body. “He was mad, though. I don’t want to annoy your roommates by being here.”
