“Bess?” Dad’s voice is all worried concern until he pushes open my door, flicks on the light, and spots my naked boyfriend, his boxer shorts wrapped around his ankles, still inside me. “Oh… my… okay.” Dad squeezes his eyes shut, and I think I’m about to die of humiliation.
I nearly tell Wily to get off me, but logic quickly reminds me that if he does that, he’ll be exposing his dick to the entire room. The safest option is for him to stay exactly where he is.
Gripping his back, I stare up at his face, silently asking him what to do.
“Is everything okay in here?” Mom’s voice wafts in from the hallway.
Shit!
I close my eyes, my entire body starting to heat with embarrassment when my mom gasps. “Oh! Wow. My goodness.” She lets out a nervous laugh, and I pop my eyes open, begging her to please stop.
Dad is staring like he’s going into shock, and my mom is…
Is she blushing right now?
She touches her curls, her lips twitching with a coy smile as she checks out my boyfriend!
Well, this is just great.
“Mom!” I bulge my eyes at her, and she has the decency to avert her gaze.
“Uh… hey, Darla. Tommy.” Wily glances over his shoulder, then clears his throat and croaks, “I mean, Mr. and Mrs. Satchwell.”
Mom brushes her hand through the air like he’s still allowed to call her whatever he wants. Her eyes linger for a second, skimming over his perfect ass, and I have to glare at her once more.
“Seriously?”
“Sorry. Sorry!” She spins around, then grabs Dad’s arm and forces him to turn. He mutely spins to face the wall. Yep, I’m pretty sure he’s in shock.
Squeezing my eyes shut, I then have to listen to my parents whisper-barking at the wall.
“I told you we should have put them in the same room,” Mom tuts.
“I didn’t want to assume they were sleeping together.”
“Of course they are. Look at them.” Mom spins back, her smile all mushy. “They’re in love, Tommy.”
Dad glances over his shoulder, then winces and turns back around again.
Mom, on the other hand, is still gazing at my man, and now she’s primping her hair.
“Mom!”
“Sorry.” She laughs awkwardly, snapping her eyes shut. “We’ll just let you, um… move to the guest room.” Her eyes creep back open, running down the length of Wily’s back before she glances at me with an excited smile. “Good job, Bessie Boo,” she whispers way too loudly, giving me a double thumbs-up before grabbing my father’s sleeve and tugging him out of the room.
Burying my face in Wily’s chest, I let out a wail, and my boyfriend starts to laugh.
“Shit,” he chuckles, dipping his head and kissing the side of my face. “Well, that was… interesting.”
“Interesting? Really?” I deadpan, but that only makes him laugh harder.
Popping out of me, he sits back on his heels, taking in my body and nodding. “He didn’t kill me.”
“I’m pretty sure he was too busy going into catatonic shock.”
“Right. So the death warrant might be issued tomorrow?”
I snort and shake my head. “Not if my mom has anything to say about it.” I slap a hand over my eyes. “I am so sorry about her.”
