It’s impossible not to smile as I cup his face. “I’m not sure how I’m supposed to resist you either.”

This doesn’t make him feel better.

If anything, he looks more worried. “You’re the best tutor I’ve ever had. I don’t want to lose you.”

“Why would you lose me?”

“Because I need to be able to study around you?—”

“Wily.” I cup his face with both hands now, forcing him to look me in the eye. It’s a lot easier when he’s sitting and I can stand in front him. We’re finally eye to eye, and I tell it to him straight. “You’re not some horny animal who can’t control himself.”

He winces like maybe that’s not true.

I laugh and shake my head. “Okay, fine.I’mnot some horny animal who can’t control herself. We’ll just set boundaries and then enjoy the rewards.”

“What do you mean?”

“Like…” I tip my head as I come up with a quick strategy. “Okay, how about this? No kissing before or during a study session.”

He nods.

“No touching. We sit adjacent to each other, not right beside each other, and then once the study session is over, we can make out as much as we like.”

His lips twitch, and he skims his finger up my arm. “So, you mean, if I work hard, you’ll reward me?” Curving his hand around, he brushes his knuckles lightly down the curve of my breast.

I shiver and let out a soft laugh. “Or you’ll reward me for being such a good tutor.”

“You are a good tutor.” His hand curves around my waist and he pulls me close, murmuring against my lips, “You’re the best tutor I’ve ever had.”

“And you’re my favorite student,” I whisper back before claiming his tongue once more.

CHAPTER 33

WILY

“So, you’ve got the hots for another tutor,” Blake teases me.

I roll my eyes, suddenly wishing I hadn’t called to check in on her. I hadn’t heard from her in over a week and figured I should be a good big brother.

And nowI’mthe one getting grilled.

How did “What’s up with you?” turn into me telling her I took Satch out on a date?

“Wait. This isn’t Lemon Face, is it?” Blake’s voice pitches. “You’re banging Lemon Face?”

Anger flares through me hot and fast, and I hold up my fingers, counting off my comebacks as I list them off. “One, she’s not a lemon face—that was just a really bad photo. She’s got a stunning smile that lights up an entire room when she lets it show.”

“Lights up an entire room?” Blake mocks me. “Oh, shithead, what has happened to you?”

I ignore her teasing in order to clarify, “And two, I’m not banging her.”

She snorts. “Yeah, right.”

“I’m not!” I bark at my phone, slowing down at the stop sign and growling as I check the intersection. As if I wouldbangsweet Satch. I’ve never had a problem with that terminology until now, and hearing it out of my sister’s mouth is pissing me off.

“Wait, are you serious? You’re not sleeping with her?”

“No!”
