Will’s the hottest rookie in the NHL, JT’s defending Bainbridge’s net like the badass he is, and Van was made for coaching.

As for me? I finished up my student teaching last week, just in time for the holiday break. I moved in with Claire late last summer when we found a rental in the same neighborhood as Gramma’s place. Ma’s recovery has been incredible, and I’m so damn grateful. Even Kersey’s doing okay these days. The scandal—and all it unraveled—was a lot for him to take, so he decided to take a gap year backpacking around Europe. My guy is out there trying to figure out who he is, and I applaud him for it. But for me, there’s no place I’d rather be than here with my fellow Wolves.

That’s the truth. Even as I watch Dean and Mickey make a racetrack out of champagne flutes, I’m proud to be one member of this crazy crew.

Mickey’s got a rattle tied to something and he sends it careening down the track where it lands right in front of JT’s smiling baby girl.

I let out a howl and it echoes back at me.

Family. That’s what these men and their partners are.

Life has taken some unexpected turns. I was never even supposed to go to Bainbridge. But I can’t imagine a better place to be.
