“You need to see Mr.Vincinti for something?”Donavan asked.
She hesitated briefly then shook her head.“Not really but can you get a message to him?”
Donavan stared at her and said softly, “Yeah, I can get a message to him but maybe you should tell him yourself.”
She shook her head.“A man like him would never see a girl like me.Can you just tell him Gianno Caldousce is getting out in three weeks. If he remembers the name, he’ll know what I’m talking about.”Reaching into her pocket she took out a coin then passed it through the gate and when Donavan took it she said, “Maybe this will remind him who Gianno is or rather he was...20 years ago. Please tell him to be careful because Gianno and his son are coming for him.”She turned to go.
“Wait!”Donavan called to her.“Who are you and how do you know this?”
The girl turned to look at Donavan and said, “My name isn’t important but it's Rowen...Rowen Caldousce.”She hurried away.
Donavan called her back but she ignored him and kept walking.
He watched her until he couldn’t see her anymore and that was when he looked down at the item she had given him.It was a button with what looked like a coat of arms. Not a coin like he’d thought. Finally, he raised his gaze to stare at the house a short distance away.He decided to try and find Leon to give him her message.
Chapter Two
Only about two minuteslater, John came out to talk to Donavan.“What did she want?”
Donavan assumed he’d seen her on the security feed. The man was diligent at his job.He protected everyone here as both his job and protecting his family as well.He finally answered him, “She wanted to get a message to Leon.”
John nodded.“Ok, follow me.”He escorted Donavan to the secret garden and together, they found Leon.
Leon groaned and decided his secret wasn’t much of a secret if everyone knew where to find him.“Yes John, what can I do for you?”
John motioned toward Donavan and said, “He needs to see you.”
Leon turned to Donavan and asked, “Well, hello Donavan. How are you?”
“I am fine, Mr.Vincinti.”Then Donavan hesitated before he asked, “Do you know the name Gianno Caldousce?”
Leon froze then shook his head.“I haven’t heard that name in a very long time.”
Donavan passed him the button and said, “A young woman came to the gate, maybe twenty four.Somewhere around there. She left this for you and said this Gianno guy was getting out in three weeks.”
Leon pursed his lips and said, “Yes, out of prison, I would imagine. That’s been his home for years now.”
