Faith felt someone coming their way.She pressed herself into the shadows.
Dante did the same as he reached for his weapon.
Someone stopped just out of their range.
Faith looked over at Dante and shook her head.
Now a voice called out to them softly, “Do not be afraid. We mean you no harm.Sergi sent us and he told us you might be here.”
“Come in.Let us see you.”Dante growled low.
The air barely moved and suddenly a man appeared in front of them.Faith didn’t even move but Dante tightened his hand on his weapon.
Faith reached out and stayed his hand as she met the eyes of the man who appeared.“What is your name?”she whispered.
“I am called Dima.”
“How many of you are here?”She wanted to know.
“Four of us,” Dima told her.“We have been watching for hours. We are about to go into the warehouse.”
“Be very careful. His associates have had assassins working for them. These assassins cannot be stopped without losing their heads. They can be shot and they will not stop. They have the power to self heal. They will just keep coming at you as if they are immortal.”
Dima nodded.“We were warned about this.We are aware of what we have to do.”
“Who is on the third floor?”Dante wanted to know.
“Drake Trac.”Dima gave them a nod of his head.“Or as he likes to call himself the Pallor Of Death. We have been watching him as well.”Then he turned to Faith and asked, “Do you know what is in the tanks they loaded on the boats?”
“I think that is the poison they want to dump in the river,” Faith replied.
“But why two tanks?”Dima asked.
“I think its two compounds that apart, they are caustic but together they are lethal,” Faith told him.“I’ve read about such compounds.Once I overheard Warrens talk about possible combinations.”She turned to look at the boats for a moment then looked back at Dima.“I think we have to get the canisters from those boats then blow the boats up.There are four boats already on the river. We have to find those boats and get the canisters off of them as well.”
Dima nodded.“I’ll let the others know. But we have to find Trac and destroy this place. We are going to burn it down to the ground.”
“Trac needs to be apprehended,” Dante said.
Dima nodded.“We are about to go and get him.”
“Let us go in with you,” Faith told him.
Dima began shaking his head.
“We can watch your back,” Dante said.“You may think your team is phenomenal and nearly unbeatable. And I imagine you are but these men are not your everyday normal men.You may need her skills to just survive in there.”
Dima hesitated then nodded.“Just don’t hold us up or get lost.”
Faith nodded.“No worries, we can handle ourselves.”
Dima turned and moved closer to the warehouse, where he met with his brothers.
They looked at Faith and Dante then shook their heads.
“Let’s go.”Dima led them into the warehouse and they quickly searched each floor, silently making their way to the third floor.
Faith held out her hand and shook her head. Then she closed her eyes and listened to the quiet for a moment.
