Two days later...StLouis Missouri...
Operation Battleship commenced with Bastian’s private jet flying the crew to the river where Mr.Red literally resided.They had a local Knight contact keeping tabs on his exact location.
“So, the plan goes in 3 stages,” Bastian told everyone as they sat in various areas on the plane.“Team One is Bane, Cane, Faith and Cassian.They are designated with retrieving Mr.Red, dead or alive.”
“I say dead,” Bane growled.
Everyone there didn’t look at all surprised by his vote.
Bastian went on, “I, along with Lionheart, Calegis and Palamedes will be sniper-slash-cover fire for all the teams as needed.”
“Orrin and I will be eyes on it all,” James interjected.“One of us on each side of the ship.Coordinating and lookout.”
Bastian nodded and then continued, “Team Two comprised of Ari, Lancelot, Sheba and Pendragon will get up alongside his ship and set our devices onto the ship’s outside walls.”
“Yep.”James nodded.“The timing will be all of you going in at the same time.Then each team returning to us.Then we sink the ship when it leans out to the middle of the channel.”
“We have to leave it off steer when we jump ship,” Cane stated.“We cannot have innocents killed in this.”
“The devices aren’t destructive in that way, Cane,” Orrin finally spoke up.“They will do their job to scuttle the ship so that it will sink.”
“I know,” Ari grumbled.“Kinda anticlimactic but whatever.”
Sheba giggled as she nodded.“I know, right?
“I get that part,” Cane replied.“But we still have to be sure of ship traffic in the channel.”
“I wanted a big ole BOOM!”Sheba said.“Then a lightshow and it sinks.”
“The only light show will be if you bring your own fireworks, girls,” Orrin said.
“Ok, ok,” Bastian took over again.“Team one gets aboard.Team Two set’s the devices.”
Ari raised her hand like she was in a classroom.
Bastian shook his head and asked, “Yes, Ari?”
“Can we set them and get on board to help Team One?”
“Yeah, I was thinking that too,” Sheba agreed.
“If James or I see that there is a need for that,” Bastian replied.“We will tell you.But I really want us out of the area, so we aren’t questioned by the authorities.”He looked over at Bane.“I would like Mr.Red alive if you can manage it.”
“Yes, I know.Interrogation,” Bane grumbled.
“Don’t worry big guy,” James said in a cajoling tone.“You'll get to do the honors and send him to hell when it is his turn.”
Bane glared at him.“The man sent a fucking red army after us James.I want his ass dead, yesterday.”
Bastian looked over at Faith and Cassian.“You two have been exceptionally quiet.Have any comments or questions?”
