"Did you book one or two rooms? I'm sure this place is super pricey. I told you I was okay with staying at the other hotel," Mila commented.
I didn't bother answering her. There was no way I was going to let her stay there while I stayed somewhere fancy. Before she could continue to press the issue, the receptionist spoke.
"Mr. Houston, for the two-bedroom penthouse suite. Got you right here. Would you like two keys or wristbands?"
I looked over at Mila, whose eyes were about to burst out of her head. I smirked.
"Wristbands or a key card, babe?"
"Trey, what the hell did you do?"
"Wristbands it is," I told the receptionist.
He grinned. "Great choice."
"Put your wrist up there and get your wristband," I instructed Mila.
She moved slowly, placing her wrist on the counter. After he finished placing her band on, he added mine. He went over all the amenities that come with the hotel, including free breakfast, a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, twenty-four-hourbutler services, and an onsite restaurant. Once he finished, he signaled for a butler to come and get our bags.
"You guys can head on up to your room. The elevators are behind me on the left. You will press PH3 once you get on the elevator. Enjoy your stay," he finished with a smile.
I thanked him and grabbed Mila's hand, leading us to the elevators. She remained silent even when we stepped into the elevator.
"Too much?" I asked.
She nodded her head. "Kind of, but I thought maybe you would want to be alone. I was okay with having separate rooms to give you space. I know this weekend is going to be crazy."
It was my turn to shake my head. "I was okay with that at first, but after realizing I can't stand being away from you, I had to make some adjustments. I got the two bedrooms just in case you need your space, but honestly, baby, I want you all in my space." I moved in closer to her, hovering over her. I kissed her lips. "I want you taking up all the space, smothering me and all. I need all of that." I kissed her again.
"You are something else, Mr. Houston."
"Only for you."
The elevator dinged and opened onto the floor of our stay.
"Tap your wristband on the door and it should open," I stated.
Mila did as I told her and opened the door. I heard her gasp, and again I smiled like a silly child at her reaction. The room was grand for the price, but I was sure it would be. There were tall windows that overlooked the city. There was a fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The living room had a furniture set that was all white with a huge TV hanging on the wall. The two bedrooms had joint bathrooms, but one bedroom was bigger than the other. That bedroom had a shower to fit multiple people and a tub, while the other only had a shower.
"Nice, right?" I asked.
Mila continued to walk through the space.
"It's beautiful. Thank you, Trey."
"You're welcome."
"Um...what time do we have to be at the meet and greet?"
I looked at the time on my phone. "In two hours, hungry?"
Mila stared at me with low eyes. She bit her lip, and I already knew what type of time she was on.
"No, not really," she replied, moving in closer to me and wrapping her arms around my waist. She looked up at me.
"Where did you come from? I feel men like you are made-up fictional characters in movies or books."
I kissed her forehead. "Nah, baby, a woman like you helps create a man like me."
