Seconds later, we heard a bunch of giggling and saw Chasity and Mila walking in our direction. I tried to play it smooth, but I couldn't stop watching how she walked with her head high and confidence pouring from her body. Chasity stopped in front of us and smiled, while Mila stood behind her.

"Y'all had fun tonight?" Chasity asked.

"Yeah, it was cool. I felt sorry for y'all, though," I said. "Justin had y'all getting worked."

She shrugged. "I need the money, so it's fine." She turned around. "My complaining ass cousin over here is so tired. I guess when you get an office job, you start to look down on the low-income people." She smiled at Mila.

"Whatever," Mila replied, laughing. "It was just too much. My feet are killing me, and I want to go home and rest."

"Do you want to wait for me or call an Uber? I just need to chat with Vance for a bit," Chasity glanced at Vance and grinned shyly at him.

"Um, I can Uber. I just want to get out of these clothes."

Images of Mila being naked invaded my mind, causing me to brick up.

"I'll take you home," I offered.

She looked at me and hesitated but then sighed. "I'm so tired, I'm not even protesting tonight."

She leaned over and gave Chasity a hug and smiled at Vance before she walked to the passenger side of my car.

"Get my cousin home safe or I'm going to beat your ass."

"Your cousin ain't got nothing to worry about when she's with me, know that." I winked at Chasity.

"I know that's right! Talk your shit, Trey!" Chasity shouted.

Mila waited by the passenger door, waiting for me to open it. Mila was becoming used to the way I do things, and she knew not to touch the door handle. I opened the door and held her hand as she got in.

"Want to stop and get food?" I asked.

"I don't want to think about food. I just want to sleep," Mila declined.

"I got you."

The ride to Mila's was quiet. She laid with her head up against the seat with her eyes closed. I kept glancing over at her to make sure she was okay. I figured she was sleepy because of the night she had, so I didn't disturb her with conversation.

Once we arrived at Mila's apartment, I shut the engine off. Mila's eyes were still closed, and she didn't move.

"Mila, we're here."

She didn't answer.

"I leaned over the console to see if she was sleeping.

"I'm not sleeping, Trey. I'm just taking a moment to relax. My arms hurt, my legs hurt, my back hurts, and my feet hurt. I can't wait 'til my spa day tomorrow."

I glanced over and became thankful that I had driven my SUV tonight. I reached over and tapped her leg.

"Put your legs up here."

"Huh? Trey, what are you talking about?"

"Just what I said. Put your legs up here," I repeated.

Mila hesitated for a few seconds, but eventually she maneuvered her legs over the console into my lap. Her back wasagainst the window, and her eyes locked onto my movements. I slowly removed her shoes from her feet.

"Trey..."
