Sierra regarded him coolly, not dignifying his nonsense with a verbal response.
“Wait, I remember you.” Knox looked at her with his head tilted to the side now, curious. “You’re in that one sorority. I’ve been to some of your events.”
“Was.”
Curiosity reared its head. I knew there had been some kind of fallout, hence her moving in with my sister, but she never told me what had actually happened.
“Huh?” He furrowed his brows, confused.
“Iwasa member. Not anymore.” Her body was taut as a bow.
“Oh, okay.” Knox shifted uncomfortably on his feet. “Hang on. Yes! Now I remember,” recognition lit up his face, and he tapped his index finger against his temple. “You were the one David was dating for a while.”
I rose to my full height, feeling Sierra stiffen even more, if possible, and narrowed my eyes at Knox, who continued, completely oblivious. “You know, I think he’s here. Pretty sure I saw him not too long ago.”
Jax cleared his throat sharply, snapping Knox’s head around like a dog hearing a whistle. Knox’s confused gaze flicked to Sierra — and then back to Jax — as if he suddenly realized he’d stepped into a minefield.
Sierra’s tight-lipped expression told the whole story.
Heat flared in my chest at the thought of another man touching my Goddess.
Was he an ex, as in before we met? Was he the ex that she had been trying to get over? Or was this someone she had dated after we hooked up?
I flexed the fingers on my empty hand, which was loosely hanging at my side, repeatedly curling it into a fist and relaxing it again.
Jealousy bubbled beneath the surface, twisting my gut into tight knots, but I kept my face calm, a practiced smile plastered on. My muscles coiled like a spring ready to snap.
Before anyone could say a word, I’d already made up my mind.
“We’re gonna go check on my sister real quick. See y’all in a bit.” With a nod in their direction, I was pulling Sierra along with me again, on the lookout for some quiet corner, or even better, an unoccupied room.
My abs were clenching and unclenching, trying to keep the rage, lust, and jealousy, which had combined into a fiery maelstrom in my insides, at bay.
“Dom, what the hell do you think you’re doing? Where are we going?” Sierra hissed at me.
I offered her another smirk, knowing if she looked closely paid enough attention, she would see my true feelings reflected in my eyes. Yanking open the next best door, the spacious closet, wasn’t exactly what I had in mind, but it would have to do.
“Dom,” she hissed again, as I all but hauled her through the door, shutting it with a little more force than necessary.
Pushing her against it, crowding her with my bigger, broader frame. She might have been tall for a woman, but to me, she was small and delicate — my very own little doll to throw around and do with as I pleased.
Cradling her jaw with one hand, my thumb stroking back and forth, the other trailed down the side of her body. Along the dip of her waist, to the curve of her hip, until my fingertips were grazing the soft skin of her thighs.
Toying with the hem of her skirt before allowing my fingers to creep under the fabric, I relished in the way her breathing immediately picked up.
Her body undoubtedly knew who it belonged to.
We were inevitable. Her mind just needed a little convincing.
“What do you think—”
I claimed her lips in a punishing kiss, trying to burn off some of that heat, to ease the intense emotions raging inside of me. All it took was my tongue sliding between her lips for that pesky resistance to melt away.
“Good girl,” I growled against her lips, my fingers finding their way between her legs.
Pushing her underwear to the side, my middle finger slipped between her drenched lips.
My other hand moved into her hair, tugging her head back a little to give me better access. Dipping the tip of my finger into her wet heat, I sucked on her tongue. She moaned into my mouth as I found her throbbing clit, and a surge of pride ran through me.
