With a fierce determination, I focus my energy, the flames swirling into a vortex, growing larger and brighter. “You’re wrong,” I shout, my voice ringing out with fierce conviction. “We are stronger together, and we will stop you.”

As the flames collide with the barrier, the impact sends shockwaves through the forest, shaking the trees and causing shadows to dance wildly. The energy crackles, and I can feel the heat radiating off my magic, illuminating the darkness that Fredrick embodies.

It’s a battle of wills, and I can feel the flames growing hotter, fueled by my resolve. “You will not hurt anyone else!” I yell, pushing forward with all my might.

Fredrick’s expression shifts from anger to something akin to desperation. “No! This can’t be happening!”

And in that moment, I know that we’ve cornered him. He may have once been powerful, but his arrogance has blinded him to the strength that lies within us — within our bond, our determination, and our unwavering love for one another.

“Together! Poppy now!” I shout, glancing at Harrison and Poppy, feeling their energy resonate with mine.

With a final surge, we push forward, the flames erupting in a brilliant display of light, engulfing Fredrick in a blaze. The forest seems to come alive around us, the very air vibrating with our collective power.

“No!” he screams, the sound echoing through the trees, a desperate cry that reverberates deep within me.

And then, just like that, the darkness is engulfed in fire, wrapped in a tornado of violet smoke, consumed by the flames of our unity.

The world around us blurs, the light swirling and expanding, and as it does, I can feel the weight of the past lifting, the chains of Fredrick’s betrayal shattering.

When the light finally recedes, I find myself standing in the clearing, the air still and charged with energy. The forest feels different now, as if a weight has been lifted, the shadows retreating into the depths of the woods.

Harrison stands beside me, his expression a mix of awe and relief. “You both did it,” he breathes, his eyes wide.

Poppy looks around, her aura shimmering with a newfound vibrancy. “We really did it,” she echoes, a smile breaking across her face.

As I survey the clearing, a sense of peace washes over me, mingled with the adrenaline still coursing through my veins. We’ve faced the darkness and emerged victorious, and I can feel the bond between us growing stronger in the aftermath.

But as I look deeper into the woods, a flicker of unease settles within me. This battle may be won, but the war is far from over.

“Come on,” I say, breaking the moment of silence. “We need to regroup and find out what this means for the pack. There’s still a lot to uncover.”

Together, we turn back toward the path, the weight of our victory mingling with the knowledge that more challenges await us. But as we step forward, I can feel the fire within me burning brighter than ever — an unwavering flame of hope and determination that will guide us through whatever lies ahead.

MY GAMMA

Wren

I step lightlydown the staircase, the familiar creak of the wood beneath my feet a comforting sound in the otherwise quiet early morning. The scent of coffee and something delicious wafts through the air, pulling me toward the kitchen like a moth to a flame. I can hear their laughter before I even reach the door, the warm, inviting sound wrapping around me as I pause just outside, a smile creeping onto my lips.

Inside the Pack House kitchen, it feels like a scene pulled straight from a dream. Wyatt leans against the counter, his laughter booming as he recounts some ridiculous story from a training session gone awry. Octavia rolls her eyes, a playful smirk dancing on her lips. Poppy is leaning against the opposite counter, her light giggles mixing with the deeper chuckles of Dalton. But my heart skips a beat as my gaze finds Harrison.

He’s leaning casually against the kitchen island, his dark hair catching the morning light, revealing a hint of mischief in his ocean-blue eyes. The mate bond pulls me toward him like gravity, and I can feel the warmth radiating from his presence. My heart quickens, and I swallow back the flutter of excitement that rises within me.

“Little Bird!” Harrison calls out, a grin splitting his face wide. He opens his arms wide, inviting me into his embrace. Without a second thought, I leap into his arms, and he catches me effortlessly, spinning me around as laughter erupts from the others. I can feel the warmth of his body enveloping me, the world around us fading away. In this moment, I feel safe, cherished, and utterly complete.

“Get a room, you two!” Dalton teases, and the others laugh, but I only have eyes for Harrison. He sets me down gently, his hands still resting on my waist as we share a moment, lost in each other’s gaze.

“Hey, did you hear about the spell Poppy’s been working on?” Octavia interjects, her voice light but filled with excitement.

I tear my gaze away from Harrison, focusing on Poppy as she nods enthusiastically. “It’s a tracking spell! We can use it to find the dark witch’s magic signature. It could lead us right to her!”

My heart races at the mention of the dark witch. Ever since she had attacked our pack, a shadow had loomed over us. The threat she posed was real, and the need to protect our home and loved ones was paramount. But as I glance back at Harrison, I feel a renewed sense of strength. With him by my side, I know we can face anything.

“Really?” I ask, trying to focus on Poppy’s words. “How does it work?”

Poppy’s eyes spark with enthusiasm as she explains the intricacies of the spell, but my mind drifts again, drawn back to Harrison. The way he leans against the counter, his strong arms folded, the playful glint in his eyes — it captivates me. I can’t help but feel a deep, unshakeable bond with him, one that transcends words.
