“Why are they being so lowkey about it?” he asked, as Graham poured him more coffee.

He said nothing.

“Laddie, come on. I swear to God. I’ll swear on the memory of us fighting over Sarah McCloud all of those years ago.”

Well, that meant shit to him.

He’d been twelve, and didn’t realize that the Sarah’s of the world weren’t his thing at that point.

Finn kept pushing.

Graham stared into his eyes.

“I swear, Finn, that if you say anything, and it gets back to my new bosses that I confirmed it, I’ll lose my job. Then, you’ll lose yours. I’ll make your life hell.”

He raised his hands.

Finn didn’t want to put his friend in that kind of position.

“Okay! Then don’t tell me if it’s that big of a deal. Like I said, I know who it is. There are breadcrumbs right to them.”

Graham calmed down.

He had to put his faith in the man.

They had history that went back to school many years ago.

“Off the record?” he asked.

Finn nodded.

“They bought it to be safe,” he admitted. “You’re correct, but that stays between us. This is a place for them to come and be under the radar.”
