Ex-husband.

Damn him to Hell.

He’d taken a beautiful woman and broke her down for his whims. He deserved a good kick in the arse.

“You won’t be a horrible partner. You’ll beMYpartner, and I don’t have lofty expectations. The only thing I want is honesty, faith, and to know you’ll never walk away. You’ll fight for us.”

She ran her fingers over his five o’clock shadow.

“Oddly, I want the same thing.”

Well, then, they were on the same page.

Because it was the big, pink elephant in the field, he went there.

“What are you going to do about your job?” he asked.

Honestly, she wasn’t sure.

“I guess I’m quitting. How do you feel about supporting me, so I don’t have to go to work on the dark web selling secrets to buy us a mansion?”

He stared.

“Wait. In that mansion fantasy, do I get to retire in the scenario so we can spend all day naked?” he asked, amused.

She grinned at him.

“I mean, I could use a house husband to service my needs and make me happy in bed.”

He rolled, placing her beneath him.

“You don’t say,” he said, biting her on the neck.

She laughed and giggled because she loved his playful side.

It was sexy.

“I’ll talk to Elizabeth and tender my resignation.IFyou’re serious about us.”

He needed to know.

“Are you the least bit afraid that we’re moving too fast and I’m not the right guy?” he asked.

That was an interesting question.

In all of her years dating, she never thought she’d jump into a relationship this fast, and not want to look back.

Only, she knew.

He was the one.

“I think I knew when you caught me before I fell into the crypt.”

It was time to come clean.

“Last night, Finn, I had a dream.”

He waited.
