And now this.
He was making a compelling case.
Throwing the blanket down, he turned, and took her in his arms.
If he was going to jump in, he was going to jump in without two other people in the castle to disturb him. What he wanted was her, and what he craved was showing her how much he valued her.
Together, they stood there, and he kissed Gabby.
Finn took that moment to give Gabby what her heart needed because that was the only way he would get what his heart needed.
LOVE.
His mouth found hers, and she stayed against him. The whole time, the water cascaded, and Finn was focused on one thing.
He was going to make Gabby his.
One way or another.
Chapter Seven
The Field
The Waterfall
Their Moment
It Was About Time
Taking control, he was going to make sure that Gabby understood what he needed and wanted. It was to make this woman his, and nothing less. There was no way he could be broken again, so this time, lesson learned.
He was going to do the work.
It wasn’t like he hadn’t with Rosie, but he saw the difference now. He’d held on to his ex because he was afraid to be alone.
Now, he wanted to hold onto Gabby because he was afraid to let her walk away. She was intrinsic to his happiness. She was his other half.
Breaking the kiss, he stared into her eyes.
“I want to make love to you. Tell me that you want that too. Here. Now. In this field by the waterfall. Tell me you feel the same thing for me, Gabriella.”
At his words, she touched his face, and he turned his head to leave a kiss across her fingertips. It was the most gentle, romantic thing ever.
And she was here for it.
As he waited for her answer, Gabby weighed her options.
Could she stay here?
Yes.
Would she walk away from her career?
For the right man, yes.
She was going to have to make that decision at some point, but until she did, there was something she wanted.
HIM.
