“Only because I love her. I still think you three are a bunch of bastards.” When Kurt walked away, Mateo didn’t miss the grin quirking the corner of his mouth.

When Mateo picked Scarlett up that afternoon, he instantly knew something was wrong.

“What’s the matter, love?” he asked, leaning over to kiss her cheek.

“Cramps.”

“Did you take something for the pain?” She nodded and he took her hand in his to comfort her. “Let’s get you home and all comfy then.”

Before driving off, he relayed the information to the other two and hoped they would see it in time to at least warm up her heating pad. Scarlett had her eyes closed the entire drive, constantly adjusting her position. He was glad when she was finally home and greeted by Ezra and Vince. They pulled her into a kiss, Ezra handing her the heating pad while Vince gave her a large steaming cup of hot chocolate—it always seemed to soothe her.

She gave them a grateful smile. “Thank you.”

Silently, Scarlett retreated upstairs to her bedroom. They stared after her, wondering what the hell they could do to make her feel better. Mateo decided to make her favourite pasta fordinner and baked fresh garlic bread, but instead of having her come down, he knocked on her door with a tray of food and drinks.

“Is it safe to come in?”

“Yes, all the decorations are covered up,” she muttered from behind the door.

He stepped in and found her curled up between fluffy blankets and plush pillows, her laptop playing her favourite crime drama. “I thought you might prefer to have dinner in bed today.”

Scarlett sat up and leaned against the headboard. “I’m not really hungry, but we can share.”

“Of course.” He sat down next to her with the tray on his lap. “I assume I’m left with the pasta while you’ll eat all the bread?”

But Scarlett already had the garlic bread halfway to her mouth.

He chuckled and dug into the pasta, feeding her a few bites as he deemed necessary.

Once the tray was empty, she kissed his cheek and asked, “Can you stay and cuddle a little?”

“It would be my absolute pleasure.” He let her settle first, then laid down behind her with her show still playing on the laptop. He covered her neck and shoulder in kisses. “Are you still in pain?”

“Yes. I’ve never had it this bad.” Then she surprised him by taking the hand resting on her stomach and pushing it south, behind the edge of her pants. “I read it can help.”

Mateo’s finger started circling her clit, his dick hardening despite his protests. “Do you still have the vibrator we gave you?”

Scarlett nodded. “In my nightstand.”

“I can use it on you. It might give you a quicker release.”

“Can we do what you promised this morning, just… tamer?”

Well, how was he supposed to say no to that? “I’ll be gentle.”

She freed herself from the blanket and walked towards the bathroom. “Give me a moment.”

Mateo took the opportunity to set her laptop aside. “Can I look into your nightstand without finding anything that you don’t want me to see?” he called.

“Yes, it’s safe.”

He didn’t have to search long to find the vibrator. When he looked back up, Scarlett stepped out of the bathroom completely naked and carrying a large towel in her hand. “God, how do I deserve you?”

She blushed and quickly made her way back to the bed, where she threw all the blankets aside and replaced them with the towel. He jumped out of bed long enough to strip and laid back down behind her. He covered them both back up and could already hear her worried thoughts about it.

“If anything gets stained, I’ll wash it or buy a new cover.” He kissed her neck, gently sucked on her earlobe and handed her the vibrator. “Now show me what you like.”

Scarlett turned it on and placed it between her thighs on what seemed to be the lowest, steadiest setting. She hummed her pleasure, her ass rubbing against his cock.
