This past weekend, Miami Ice delivered an unforgettable performance on the ice with a victory over the Orlando Guardians.
But while the game itself was a dominating display of skill (and let’s be real, Mason Hayes was on fire in goal), what everyone seems to be talking about is the after-party—and the surprise baby shower.
Miami Ice has always been known for their camaraderie, but this team dynamic has reached new heights.
Beau Callahan, Mason Hayes, and Kieran Donovan (who are now known to be more than just teammates—ahem) have been at the center of this storm of attention, and their latest act of love for journalist Daisy Love has taken the internet by storm.
For those who missed it, Daisy’s baby shower came complete with a helicopter reveal (yes, you read that correctly), gifts, and kisses from all three men.
Oh, and did I mention the car? Because, yeah, they got her a car. We’re not sure what’s more jaw-dropping: the actual game win, or the off-ice win.
It doesn’t hurt that this trio has chemistry both on and off the ice.
While the Guardians never stood a chance in their matchup, it’s clear that Daisy has found herself surrounded by the kind of support that anyone would envy. It’s rare that a team—especially one with such competitive energy like the Ice—has this level of teamwork extending into their personal lives.
One has to wonder if this kind of… nontraditional relationship is actually okay professionally. Surely some lines are being crossed.
So, will this new arrangement affect their play on the ice? I guess we’ll see when they face off against the Tampa Bay Firehawks next week. But if I had to guess? I’m betting this team is more fired up than ever.
