“Oooo, can we watch Finding Nemo? It’s my favorite!”
“Anything you wish.”
Miles turned on Finding Nemo for them to watch as they finished their dinner.
When she had eaten all that she could, Olivia put her plate on the table before slowly sliding closer to him.
Her heart fluttered when he reached over and pulled her into his side.
Sighing, she settled in against his chest and everything felt like home.
CHAPTER TWELVE
MILES
After Miles put Olivia to bed he slipped into the nursery to make sure everything was in place.
He didn’t know, when he started building it during the remodel, what age his future Little might play at, so he built it to accommodate whatever his Little girl might need.
He was excited to help Olivia explore her Little side. Fluffing the pillow and straightening the throw blanket lying on the foot of the bed, he settled down just taking it all in.
When he bought this house, this room originally was an office no bigger than a closet. Knowing that would never work, Miles took down the connecting wall between the guest bedroom and office and made the space one giant playroom.
He closed off one side and hired a plumber to come and repipe in a bathroom so that there was a space nearby for his Little girl to go without having to leave the room.
Miles had taken a long time picking out all of the details that went into this room.
Looking back, he realizes that he spent more time designingit than he did any other room in the house. Miles wanted it to be perfect though.
He painted the room a beautiful lilac purple and hired a local art student to paint a stunning mural of a lavender field on one wall. She had done a wonderful job bringing the vision he had to life.
Miles ordered from the same online store, one catered to the lifestyle, that Emmett did and picked out a snowy white daybed that could easily be turned into a crib using the hidden rail.
He added on the matching rocker, changing table, bookcase, and toy box that helped complete the look of the nursery.
He had filled the bookshelf with all sorts of Daddy books he could find. Of course he has read every one of them because he never would allow his Little girl to read something that might harm her.
Rae had a blast helping him fill the toy box in the room to the brim with all sorts of toys a Little would love, no matter what age she might be. He might have also done just a tad bit of spoiling on her for all the help she had given.
Emmett wasn’t the happiest when she came home with a new princess dress, tiara, and giant unicorn stuffie.
Who was he to say no to the adorable “Please, Uncle M!” and the pouty lip that she gave. It was quite a performance, honestly.
Miles hoped that this was everything that Olivia would love, but he knew that if she didn’t there would be no hesitation to change it to be what she wanted it to be.
He means it every single time he tells her that there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do to make her happy.
Knowing that everything was in order, he slipped out of the room quietly closing the door behind him. Headed offto bed, Miles wanted to make sure he got a good night's sleep so that he was well rested for the day with Olivia tomorrow.
Waking with the sun,Miles put some workout clothes on before heading down to the basement for his morning run. He always woke up early no matter what day of the week it was.
Sunday’s were his favorite though because it allowed him to rest and recharge for the upcoming work week.
This Sunday would forever be his favorite because it would be the start of what he hoped to be many future Sundays spent with his Little Bunny.
An hour later, Miles turned off the treadmill and headed back upstairs. Diesel was finally awake for the morning, so he let him outside to run before heading to shower.
He didn’t want to scare her away with his man stink before he even had a chance to make her his. Miles was standing at the kitchen counter pulling out the ingredients he needed to make omelettes when Olivia finally made her appearance from the guest room.
