Miles was so proud of all the progress that she has made over the past few months. Even he has had a few sessions with Cleo, as he worked through his own trauma surrounding that time.
Through it all, their relationship continues to grow and be stronger every day. He and Olivia decided to sign up for the BigBrother Big Sister program in their area and have already been matched with a kid to help mentor and guide.
They were going to be meeting with the girl next week and Olivia was so excited.
Deciding to hold off on adopting or looking at surrogacy, this gave Olivia the opportunity to be the mom that she dreamed of being, while also guiding a lost and troubled teen.
Miles felt inside his pocket again for the box that he had tucked in there before they left the house. Tonight was the night to make his Little girl his forever.
Miles had stolen Rae a few months ago and took her to the local jewelry place to help him pick out the perfect ring for Olivia.
They picked out a two carat oval pink topaz stone that was haloed with tiny diamonds.
He couldn’t wait to ask her to be his forever, but as the time came closer Miles couldn’t help but feel nervous.
Wiping the bead of sweat that formed at his brow, he nodded towards Emmett before turning towards where Olivia played on the ground with Rae.
“Olivia, can you come here for a second?”
“Sure Daddy, what’s up.”
Miles stood and looked down at his future.
“Olivia, Daddy wants you to know how much he loves you. I am so proud of how far you have come over the past year and I have loved being by your side the whole time. I don’t know what I would ever do without you in my life and I don’t want to find out.”
Miles knelt to the ground before her and pulled out the box as she let out a gasp.
“Olivia Mae Carter, will you marry me and spend the rest of our lives being my wife and Little girl?”
He watched as tears welled up in her eyes. She nodded her head at him and offered her hand out.
“Words, Little Bunny. Daddy needs to hear the words.”
“Yes, Daddy! Yes, I’ll marry you!” Miles slid the ring on her finger before scooping her up, spinning her around, and planting a kiss on her lips.
Letting her slide down towards the floor, he let her go as she turned to her friend to celebrate and gush over the ring.
Embracing Emmett in a hug, they all celebrated as the ringing of the door bell sounded.
“I’ll get it.” Emmett said, making his way towards the front.
It was quiet for a moment before Emmett called out for his wife.
“Who’s at the door, Daddy?”
Rae let out a gasp before whispering, “Jessa? Destiny?”
