“The golden hallway you described is my home realm, which I left sixty years ago when I was dropped into this world.” The angel smiled sheepishly at my openmouthed stare. “There are many of those white golden hallways. They are everywhere you turn around.”

“The labyrinth with no dead ends and never-ending paths is my home,” Vaser added, all of them oblivious that I couldn’t breathe. “I was pushed into the human realm sixty years ago, as well.”

“The cold, freezing winds pelting your skin is my home realm, the one that spat me out in this place sixty years ago to linger aimlessly among humans.” Tyler spoke, his deep voice vibrating through his chest into my side.

“You are our fated mate, and by denying the bond, you almost killed yourself, and if you died you would’ve killed us, too.” Iron manacles were tightening around my chest and squeezing my lungs like lemons for a lemonade.

“Three mates …” The words were barely audible.

“Well”—Angelo’s mouth twisted into a squiggly line—“according to your dream—more like four—we just don’t know where the last one has wandered off.”

“I think she’s having a panic attack.” Gasping for air, my breath came out in short bursts through my lips. I wanted to laugh like a lunatic when Vaser leaned closer with worry written all over his face.

“Breathe, dove.” Angelo took my arms and rubbed them, sending sparks of what I now realized was the recognition of a fated mate when skin on skin contact was made.

More laughter bubbled up, choking me, but no sound came out of my mouth.

“Echo?”

They called my name, but I was way too gone to care about anything. The Seelie had one mate, and hardly anyone met theirs. I was the heir to the Seelie throne, with a troglodyte familiar, and on top of that? The fates bound me to not one but four males, three of which were not even from my own realm with the fourth still an unknown species.

This time, I chortled like a crazy woman.

If this wasn’t the fates sticking their middle finger at my father’s face, I didn’t know what was.
