He grinned. “Yeah, maybe we need to get a plug. Keep some of me in you all the time.”
I laughed. “Youarekinky. I love it.” My heart stuttered, the words rushing up my throat. Catching on my tongue, then finally tumbling out. “I love you.”
“I know.”
I punched his arm. “Okay, Han Solo.”
He chuckled. “No, I don’t mean it smugly. I just mean, I know it’s hard for you to say. I see it in your eyes, Axel. I feel it in your kisses. I’m glad you could say it, but I would have happily waited as long as it took.”
I sighed. “Fuck, now I love you even more.”
He grinned. “My evil plan is working.”
“Too fucking well,” I complained.
We cleaned up and cuddled a while, but eventually, that missed dinner made our stomachs grumble louder than me. I rolled out of the bed and reached for my jeans.
“Come on, let’s head over to the house. We can scrounge some food and get a proper shower.”
“You gonna join me in the shower this time?” Dalton asked.
I smirked. “Only if you’re lucky.”
He swatted my ass as I stepped into my jeans. “Smart-ass.”
I turned and tackled him, pinning him to the bed and whispering dark promises about the next time I got my dick inside his ass.
He groaned a laugh. “We could try that out now. Who needs food?”
Eventually, we made it over to the house. It was well past dinnertime, and Holden had already retreated to his room.
Bailey passed us on his way out, eyes widening a little at the sight of us together. He tried to play it cool.
“There’s some leftovers in the fridge. Holden made chili.” He smirked. “I hope you already got your butt stuff out of the way.”
“Bailey, Jesus.”
He laughed. “You’re obviously back together, so you know…better safe than sorry.”
I groaned as Dalton murmured, “Were we ever apart?”
“No,” I said, giving Bailey a pointed look. “My brother’s just a brat.”
“Guilty,” Bailey said as he went out the door.
“He must take after you,” Dalton said.
We’d left the dogs at the junkyard since it was late, but Banshee came trotting out to greet us. I patted her head, and she whined and then trotted back down the hall to scratch at Holden’s door.
Obviously, she wanted in.
I opened the fridge to pull out the chili. “Can you heat this up? I’m going to let the dog into Holden’s room.”
“Sure,” he said.
I left him to work on our dinner and followed an eager Banshee down the hall.
“Hey, Holden.” I opened the door. “Banshee wants…”
