“Is that why you’re…” I waved a hand toward his scruffy face.

He rubbed a hand over his jaw, making a rasping sound that sent shivers down my spine. “Why I look like a slob?” he asked, which was completely inaccurate. “I usually shave before work, since I work so late, you know? I skipped it yesterday. Had other priorities.”

His look conveyed all the things he wouldn’t say out loud—Ihad been his priority. Kissing me, covering me with his body, rubbing his hard dick against me through our clothes.

I bit the inside of my cheek hard. If I kept up this line of thought, I was gonna pop a boner right here in the kitchen.

“Okay, I didn’t mean to sound like the study patrol,” I said. “I just know you’ve got limited time, with the full-time job and your family…”

He nodded. “It’s cool. I’m glad you get it, because Iambusy, and we may not have time to hook up every day.”

Every day?Did he really have sex that often? He must have read something in my expression because he laughed.

“Priorities, Ethan. I’m looking forward to a lot more time on the futon with you.”

“Yeah, that’d be good,” I croaked, my mouth suddenly dry.

I’d never considered myself to have a high sex drive, but by the way my body was responding to Rhett’s enthusiasm, I had no reason to worry.

Rhett shot me one more smile, this one a sensual curve of his lips that seemed to promise me all kinds of dirty delights. How did he do that with just a smile? One of life’s great mysteries, I guess.

Some of us are mere mortals. Others are sex gods. Rhett Hayes definitely qualified as the latter. I might have only kissed him, but I could already tell he’d be the best sex I ever had.

“So what movie did you choose?” Ethan asked, sounding a little nervous as he took a seat beside me on the futon two days later. “I’m guessing it’s notGodzilla.”

“Nope, notGodzilla,” I confirmed. We’d both finished up classes for the day, and I hadplans.“I picked something a little different. I hope you like it.”

“Is this going to go the same way it went last time?” Ethan asked.

“What way is that?”

He blushed, which I was coming to expect from him in these conversations. In fact, I looked forward to the rosy glow that lit his cheeks.

“You know,” he said shyly, “with us not watching much of it.”

I winked. “Only if we do it right.”

“And will things, uh, go further than before?”

“Do you want them to?”

He swallowed, the bowtie bobbing with the movement of his throat. “Maybe. Depending on the plan.”

“There’s no plan for how far anything goes. That’s your decision.”

He wet his lips. “Okay.”

Ethan was too nervous. I leaned in and kissed him. He was surprised by the move, but he instantly relaxed as his lips molded to mine. I kept it short, more comforting than sexy. When we parted, he still looked dazed, which was flattering as hell.

“Hi,” he said with a goofy smile.

I couldn’t help but smile wide in return. “Look at us,” I said with a smile. “In the same place, and both of us awake.”

Ethan laughed, which had been the goal. “It’s a rare occasion.”
