COOPER

After work wrapped up at Mr. Lemmings’ house, Trace and I picked up some dinner. We were both sweaty and dirty. I had grime under my fingernails and grass stains on my jeans from when I’d crawled under the porch to help brace it with a new support. Trace had carried his weight, proving his skills extended beyond landscaping, and he was as grimy as I was. Therefore, it seemed appropriate to pick up some hotdogs smothered in mustard, relish, and onions at a food truck in town rather than head into a restaurant in our messy state.

“I still can’t believe I got you to sleep with me when I showed up to dinner like this that first night. What a terrible impression I must have made.”

Trace’s eyes twinkled as he looked me over. “I don’t know, there’s a certain appeal to…sweaty man.”

I laughed. “Oh, yeah?”

“Yeah.” His voice dropped into a lower register, bringing goosebumps to my skin. “Although, it was hardly my first impression. I believe my first impression was a half-naked brat in my room, showing me his cock.”

I bit my bottom lip as that scene flooded my mind. I might have been embarrassed if it hadn’t been so hot. Trace in just a towel, me hard and needy as his large hands touched me the first time. “I went home and jerked off to fantasies of you throwing me on the bed and taking me even though I was your friend’s son.”

“Guess you got your wish,” Trace said.

I shifted and cleared my throat. “Yeah, thanks to very tight jeans.”

Trace laughed again, the tension breaking. “I think you could have been wearing a sack, and I’d have been unable to resist you.”

That was a nice feeling. I knew I was an okay-looking guy, but I never really considered myself gorgeous until Trace got ahold of me. The things he said to me made me blush like an innocent and weep precum like a slut. I’d been with both guys and girls before, butnoneof them had ever made me feel the way Trace did.

He really was a Daddy, and it made a world of difference. There was no way to explain the comfort it gave me to know he’d be there when I needed him, with a hug or a spanking or even a dirty compliment. Every day we spent together, the pull to him only grew stronger. I let my eyes linger on him a beat, and he shifted.

“Damn, now my jeans are getting too tight,” he said gruffly. “Eat up so we can get back to the B&B.”

I glanced down at the hot dog. “Maybe I shouldn’t eat this. I mean…”

“Eat,” he said firmly. “You’ve been working all day. You’ve got to be starving.” At my hesitation, he added, “I don’t have to pound your ass to thoroughly enjoy being with you.”

“Jesus,” I muttered, feeling my cheeks heat. I wasn’t bashful, but damn. “You just said that aloud.”

He chuckled and crumpled up his wrapper. “Yes, I did. Now, come on. Let’s go take a nice, long shower.”

By the way he looked at me, I had a feeling he’d be doing more than washing my hair this time. I wolfed down my last few bites, barely tasting them, and balled up the wrapper. “Ready.”

Trace grinned. “Good, let’s go.”

When I swung a leg over the seat to stand, a familiar Lab came hurtling toward me.

I laughed as Rosie’s paws hit my thighs and she attempted to French kiss me. Trace looked alarmed as she gave a sharp bark, but I knew what she wanted, and I tugged on her ears and ruffed up her fur playfully. “What are you doing here?”

“Rosie!” a familiar voice called. “Rosie, damn it!”

“Oh, shit.” I stiffened with the realization of what Rosie’s presence meant.

“What is it?” Trace asked.

“My dad,” I hissed. “He’s here—”

I couldn’t say anything more. My father came into view, panting for breath. “I’m sorry, she got off the leash. I—” He stopped abruptly. “Cooper?” His eyes darted from me to Trace. “Trace? What are you two doing here?”

“Hey, Dad,” I said weakly. “We were just grabbing a hot dog. How about you?”

He glanced down at the leash in his hand. Right, it was fairly obvious. I was too nervous to think straight. Trace gave me a reassuring look. I didn’t know what it meant. Was he going to tell my father the truth? My heart pounded. I wasn’t sure I was ready for that.

“I’m with Cooper because—”
