Incoming Tablet Communication Cherry Dawson:Darcy…

Incoming Tablet Communication Darcy Dubois:ON ZOHRO’S BIG PINK DICK!

Incoming Tablet Communication Magnolia Jones:Wow, we’re really going there.

Incoming Tablet Communication Darcy Dubois:OF COURSE WE’RE GOING THERE!

Incoming Tablet Communication G. Jaya:Darcy will drag her there.

Incoming Tablet Communication Tasha Wallace:Dear God, this entire chat is like one big human resources nightmare.

Outgoing Tablet Communication Jolene Macdonald:It’s all good. Don’t worry, Tasha. It’s nice to have some girl talk. I didn’t really have that on Terratribe II. I was surrounded by a bunch of emotionally constipated cowboys.

Incoming Tablet Communication Cherry Dawson:So not much has changed, then!

Outgoing Tablet Communication Jolene Macdonald:You guys are cracking me up. I appreciate the support so much. But I just… I think Zohro had other reasons to want to marry me besides all the lovey dovey, sexy ones.

Outgoing Tablet Communication Jolene Macdonald:Oh, gotta go. Zohro’s got some more of my salve ready.

Incoming Tablet Communication Tasha Wallace:Salve?

Outgoing Tablet Communication Jolene Macdonald:My skin is sensitive to some of the grass here. He made me this special soothing salve. It’s amazing. He helps me put it on. Says we have to do it twice a day. And he made a bunch more for the baby, too. Talk to you guys later!

Incoming Tablet Communication Darcy Dubois:That grumpy-ass pink dude made her a special salve? And helps her put it on???

Incoming Tablet Communication Magnolia Jones:And he almost died saving her that first night…

Incoming Tablet Communication Cherry Dawson:So who’s going to tell her?

Incoming Tablet Communication G. Jaya:Tell her what?

Incoming Tablet Communication Cherry Dawson:How gone her husband already is for her.

“I will need your tablet tonight,”Zohro said after our second round of salve-spreading. “After my work for the day is done. I must start reading the literature Tasha sent.”

“That’s fine. Um. Is there a shower or something I could use before bed?” I asked, pulling my top into place. I’d just pulled it clean from the line earlier today, but it already felt kind of gross. “There must be. You looked nice and clean for the ceremony.”

“I washed under the hose outside.”

“Dang. Even in this weather? The sun is nice, but it’s pretty cool outside.”

“It is not too cool yet. Winter will be worse.”

“OK, well, I definitely do not want to be washing under a hose in the winter! And what about Baby Girl?”

When his eyes grew suddenly white and intense upon my face, I realized it was probably because I’d just spoken about remaining here with her after the trial period. Like it was a given.

Which, at this point, it probably was. I was basically satisfied by now that being with Zohro posed no danger to me or my daughter. There would be no reason to leave.

And if that were the case, we definitely needed a better shower set-up.

“I have heated water in the operating theatre.”

“Operating theatre? Where the heck is that?”

“I will show you. Come on.”

Zohro led me to what looked like a small barn or large shed on his property. But inside, it looked nothing like a barn at all. It had smooth, pristine floors, shelves of supplies, bright lights, metal sinks, and a big plastic tub in the corner.
