Andrew showed her to his car, one of only three left in the driveway.
“Looks like most of the cast has gone. I didn’t think I took that long.”
Andrew started his car and eased it onto the one-lane road. “I didn’t think you did either. Try to get some sleep. And I’ll keep it under the speed limit.”
Jordan leaned back and closed her eyes. “Everyone wants to go out and eat tonight at some restaurant. Will you come with me?”
“As a bodyguard or friend?”
“Stu’s approved the place, so you can come as a friend.”
“I’d like that.”
Jordan was asleep within seconds, and Andrew’s world felt right again.

The third weekin Green Bay started off with Storm postponing their brunch. Monday’s and Tuesday’s filming couldn’t have gone better as the cast and crew started to meld. Jordan’s only complaint was that after Ben left, she hadn’t seen Andrew as much as she would have liked. Wednesday didn’t go smoothly as rain ruined the outdoor scenes. Instead, Jordan and Storm filmed a couple of dialogue scenes. There were multiple takes as Storm wore Thunder and Jordan kept gagging.
Thursday’s filming wrapped up early, and there would be no filming Friday, mostly because the entire crew and most of the cast planned to go to the Thursday-night Packer’s football game.
Spirits were high as they emptied the lot. Andrew and Tonie waited with Princess at the trailer. “You’re early.”
Jordan bent down to scratch Princess behind the ears. “Another one of those miracle days where we got almost everything on the first take. I’ve never been much for football, but bless the Packers and all the cheese heads.”
Tonie and Andrew laughed.
“I’m glad the games are good for something. I shopped for dog food this morning, and the town has gone crazy,” said Tonie.
“They’re playing well this year, and it isn’t supposed to be freezing tonight. Another week or so and they risk having their games in the snow. The locals will still turn out, but you Californians might not take it so well.” Andrew laughed.
Jordan slipped into the bedroom and changed into her own clothes. She exited pulling a sweatshirt over her head. “We aren’t as big of wimps as you think we are.”
“You also don’t have stadiums where they heat the football field to keep the ground from freezing.” Tonie put Princess on her leash. “I’m glad you aren’t going. I’m a basketball girl, and even baseball. Never been a fan freezing my tail off to watch men tackle each other. I had enough of watching my brothers do that. I respect the skills and all, but I want to be warm.”
Stu knocked on the trailer door. “Hastings, do you have anyone else up here?”
“Ben came up with a detail today to set up Claire Lee’s house.”
“One of my guys just puked his guts out, so I’m down some security. Since no one but Miss Lee and a couple of staffers will be at the hotel tonight, can you guys take over her detail? That gives me a man to put here on the lot.”
“Sure. If Jordan is fine with the change.”
“May we go to the dog park?” Princess’s ears perked up at Jordan’s request.
Stu stopped on his way out. “I don’t see a problem with that.”
As soon as the door shut, Tonie pulled out her phone. “I’ll see if Ben is still here. The tech team Blake hired to set up Claire Lee’s condo should be done by now.” She walked to the front of the trailer.
“Looks like you’re stuck with me again.” Jordan sat down on the couch and tied her tennis shoes.
Andrew crossed his arms and suppressed a smile. “Good. Maybe I can beat you in that game of checkers you promised me.”
“Maybe I can convince you to get me more of those cheese curds.”
Tonie came back. “They’ll drop Ben off at the hotel. He has his go-bag.”
Jordan studied the way Tonie had said Ben. Could they be a couple?
