Thorne stepped forward. ‘What if we did something that would call to your magick.’

She nodded.

‘But we've already …’ Rye let his voice fade, not really understanding what she was getting at.

‘We have,’ she said, ‘but not …’ her face reddened further. ‘all of us,’ she whispered almost inaudibly.

Rye’s browse rose. ‘All of us?’

He glanced at the others. They’d done such things many times with Elle, but not like this, not when she didn’t remember all those other times.

Thorne tipped her chin up. ‘If you want us all to fuck you,’ he murmured in her ear, ‘all you had to do was say.’

Her eyes widened. ‘N-no!’ she spluttered, ‘No, that's not what I—’

He chuckled darkly and silenced her with a kiss to her mouth while Nyx took hold of her from behind and put his lips to her neck. She let out a soft moan and Rye saw something in his periphery. He turned his head to see the vessel she’d brought with her when they fled the Camp. It was glowing bright as the moon.

The others were touching Elle, making her want them and it shone brighter.

He glanced at her again. ‘Perhaps you’re right.’

He stepped towards her, watching the lamp as he caressed up her arm, leaning in and taking his turn with her lips, his eyes staying on the vessel. It grew still brighter.

‘The vessel,’ he said.

She looked where he was pointing and gasped. ‘It’s not done that before,’ she said, awe in her tone.

She let out a whimper as Nyx’s hand delved into her breeches.

‘We do it now,’ Thorne said, ‘but, we do it properly, Brother.’

He glared at Nyx who shook his head.

‘I made a vow,’ he growled.

‘It doesn't matter,’ he said.

‘It does,’ Nyx said low, his mouth settling into a mulish line.

Elle, still staring at the vessel, stepped from their grasps.

She glanced back at Rye hesitantly.

‘Be careful,’ Rye said. ‘We still don't know exactly what it’s meant to do.’

She looked at him apologetically and, before he could pull her back, she reached out and grabbed it.

Before Rye knew what was happening, a breach appeared before them, a rip in very fabric of the Light Realm, and sucked them all through.

Elle

Elle looked around with a gasp. She was in a heap on the floor, entangled with the others. She got to her feet slowly.

‘Is everyone all right?’ she asked.

‘No thanks to you,’ Rye growled, and she flinched. ‘You had no idea what touching that thing up was going to do,’ he thundered in a whisper. ‘It could have destroyed you. Us.’
