“Relax,” he chuckles. “Betas aren’t my thing. I’m more into dominant older omegas,” he wiggles his eyebrows. “You should give it a try.”

Not going to happen. Both River and I are tops. I have no interest in being a bottom. Although, sucking cock is fucking amazing. It’s the only time anyone will see me on my knees.

“How about you get fucked,” I mutter, upping my speed.

“Already did that. Right before coming here.”

“Gross,” I mutter. “Don’t need to hear about your sex life.“

“Then why the fuck are you asking?” he laughs. “Also, about Cam.”

My head snaps over. “I told you to leave his fucking name out of your mouth.”

“No. You said you’d kill me if I didn’t stay away from him,” he grins. God, I want to wrap my fucking hands around his throat and squeeze until his eyes pop out. “And that’s the thing. I’m not gonna stay away from him. I don’t want him in any other way but friendship. But he is my friend. And it’s going to stay that way. I won’t let you and your pack’s crazy bullshit ways ruin that. He needs someone outside you three. I respect what you all are building, even if it’s odd seeing how you wanted him gone not too long ago. Not the point. He’s happy, and I’m happy he’s happy. After everything he’s been through, I’d like to keep it that way. I care about Camden, and seeing him like that...” Jamie looks away, his face falling.

“What do you mean?” I slow down the machine until it stops.

Jamie looks back to me, brows furrowing. He says nothing.

“I asked you, what the fuck do you mean?”

“Shit,” he mutters, slowing down too. “Look, forget I said anything.”

“Jamie!” I bark.

Jamie hops off the treadmill, grabs his bag, and dips out.

“What the fuck,” I curse, throwing my water bottle. Grabbing my phone, I call Lee.

“Hey sexy. You miss me that much?” Lee chuckles.

“Did something happen with Camden?” I growl, my whole body vibrating. I have no fucking idea what Jamie was getting at, but by the look on his face something bad happened. He could be talking about what happened at the club, but I overheard Cam telling Lee he didn’t tell anyone about it because he was embarrassed. Then Lee made sure to reassure him there was no need to be embarrassed.

Something is screaming at me that this is something so much more.

He’s quiet on the other end of the line, making me even more on edge.

“Lee!” I bark.

He lets out a heavy breath. “What are you talking about? Camden is here, he’s fine.”

“That’s not what I mean,” I growl, storming out of the building. “Jamie just said some shit that I don’t fucking like.”

“What did he say?”

“That he’s happy Cam is happy after everything he’s been through. I know he didn’t tell him about what happened at the club, and what we did to him wasn’t enough to make him miserable.” At least I don’t think so. Did we go too far? Were we too cruel? Fuck!

“We can talk about this when you get home.”

I stumble to a stop and stare down at my phone with wide eyes before bringing it back to my ear. “Or you can fucking tell me now. I swear to God, Lee, I’ll lose my fucking mind along with the game if I’m too worked up over this bullshit.”

“Fucking hell,” he mutters.

“Brooks?” Cam’s sweet voice flutters through the line, settling the storm inside me.

“Little Beta,” I rasp.

“What's going on? You sound angry. I can hear it over the line.”
